5 days later

Carter has been at Onika's bedside since she had the procedure done & she hasn't said word since she found out, she won't speak, eat & sleep. Carter tries to get to eat something but he know she is so broken he knows it GONNA take a lot of time & patients.

"Baby you gotta eat come please" he says trying to feed her soup she won't even move her lips.

She is so pale, emotionless, depressed.

"Onika baby please look at me" he says as he holds her hand "You know I'm not going anywhere until you get back to your normal self, if I could take back everything I would. You take all the time you need right now if you want to cry on me you can, you wanna scream I don't care what you do to release your anger just please don't beat yourself up you have to get better I'm very sure Princess wouldn't wanna see her beautiful mother like this" he says to her & when he says Princess she has a emotional break down she can't stop the tears running down her face.

Carter holds her in his arms & kisses her head "Its alright let it out I got you just cry baby I got you" he tells her as she cries "Why God why did he take her from me!" She cries, Carter just holds her tighter "She was all I ever wanted my little girl is gone she is gone" she cries breaking down more "He knew how much I loved her & he took her from me I just wanted to tell that I loved her & hold her, kiss her" she cries out.

August is getting ready to get on a plane to leave & he gets a surprise when he sees Carter smoking his cigar on the plane & he sits in the seat "I want out" he says "Son I can't let you go that easily you hit my son with your car & you think I'ma let you go just like that & you completely LOST YOUR FUCKING MIND!" He yells at him "I told you to tell yo boy to leave my girl alone!" He shot back "I heard what you did & you are nothing but I sick excuse for a man how can you beat a pregnant woman while she is carrying your child did you know she lost the baby" he says to him "Good that baby is better off, I didn't want my daughter raised by another man" he says to him "You daughter is dead because of your fucking emotions & jealousy, the woman who begged me & my son not to kill you is in the hospital, broken, depressed & beaten, she's right you don't deserve to die, you deserve to suffer" he tells him as the guards grab him & throws him in the trunk of Carter's van.

3 days later

Onika is set to go home & Carter is pushing her in a wheelchair & she is so broken & depressed she hasn't smiled, laughed or talked since she had her breakdown "We can go to my condo if you don't wanna go home" Carter tells her as they make it to the car.

"Please take me home" she asks "Ok" he says back, he helps her into the car & he takes her home, he parks the car in the driveway & he helps her walk to the door "Are you sure about this?" He asks "Yes I just wanna go in my bed please" she tells him. He opens the door for her & they takes her to her bedroom & goes into the kitchen & start to make her homemade soup.

Onika is watching tv & all she can think about is the baby she gets up slowly & goes to her door way to see the baby's nursery door close, she goes to the door breaths in & out & she goes inside she looks around she tries to hold her tears back but she can't.

She sees her last sonogram photo in a purple pink frame on the dresser she picks it up she smiles down looking at it her tears fall on the frame "Im so sorry babygirl im so sorry" she says crying looking at the photo "I just wanted to hold you & love you I didn't want you to suffer" she says.

Carter goes upstairs & into the room & he knows where Onika is & he hears "Your father was in a very dark place, Carter would've love to meet you & we would have been the family I have always wanted, I'm so sorry baby I love you so much" she cries holding the frame sitting next to her crib. Carter sits beside & lays her head on shoulder "We gonna get though this" he tells her as he holds her in his arms.
