Someone knocked on my door making me stopped reading my book. "Come in" the door slid open and Suna slightly bowed his head. "Inari-sama, wants to see you" I grimaced at that placing my book on my table than standing. "What does that idiot needs?" I hissed "I don't know, Shiragiku-sama" walking out of my room I smell an unknown whiff of the smell.
"The shrine never had a visitor" my eyebrows furrowed as my nose twitched at the smell. "Visitors were prohibited since you arrived. And this is the first visitor she accepted after 10 years" I didn't bother to knock and just opened the door slid open.
"Why did you summon me, Inari-sama?" I asked looking at our guest. "Inari-sama, I didn't know you had a twin sister" I gave him a disgusted looked. "Don't make faces like that while you have my face" Inari glared making me scoff. "Inari-sama, mind answering my question? I am currently reading a book and I don't like to be disturbed when I'm reading a book" I said and the temperature slowly drops.
"You damn brat" her lips twitched as the temperature rose and drop while the guest only chuckled. "Sugawara no Michizane. And it's nice to meet you, Shiragiku-sama" he smiled and I gave him a bored look. "Is that all? Can I go back to my room now?" I asked them.
"Sugawara here needs my help" she stated seriously making me raised an eyebrow. "And what is that? Why is the strongest sorcerer in this era is asking for help?" I asked and he chuckled. "Sukuna Ryomen. You know him right?" I glared at him and nodded my head.
"And you need Inari-sama to defeat him?" He nodded his head with a smile and my glared intensified. "Go back to your place. Inari-sama won't leave this shrine" I growled making the temperature drop more. "Shira-". "No, the last time you faced the king of curses you almost die. You are not leaving this shrine to face him again. This shrine needs you, Inari-sama, Suna needs you and so am I. You're not leaving, end of discussion" I said walking out of the room.
"Suna, guard her make sure she won't do anything stupid"
"Understood, Shiragiku-sama"
Days passed and I avoided the owner of this shrine. I just continued reading my books and training. Sugawara always visits our place making me pissed because some people might find our place. "Shiragiku, we need to talk," Inari said blocking my path. "What do you want to talk about, Inari-sama?" I asked and she sighed.
"Humans will die if I won't help," she said seriously. "Your kind will die and so as you if I don't help them" I clenched my fist. "They are not my kind". "I won't do all the work. Sugawara and the others will help me," she said softly. "Do what you want" I said walking away.
I stared at the moon inhaling the cold air while clutching my bleeding arm that I got from my stupidity. I took a night stroll away from the shrine leaving the shrine unattended. Because I ordered Suna first to guard her he came with her to the capital leaving me all alone here.
"Oh, what's this?" Looking above me I saw a figure but the red eyes didn't escape my eyes. "I don't know, maybe a damn wounded animal?" I said irritated not wanting to deal with anyone. Turning my back I froze seeing him in front of me.
"My my well aren't you look familiar?" He grinned and I only gave him an annoyed look. "Look, get out of my way before I kill you. I don't have patience today and I'm currently bleeding" I hissed walking passed by him. And I snapped when he held my bleeding arm.
Using my other hand I held his throat not caring if he's tall. "Do you have a fucking death wish?" I growled slightly sinking my long nails on his skin. "Feisty, but shouldn't you be thankful? I fixed your arm" blinking I looked at my arm and he's right.
