Marinette pov:

I walked to my room with my roomate. Tessa young

Me and tessa got along well and we are yet to discover our new roomate.

"I wish I could change this hostel right now" Tessa complained.

"Because of that...black haired guy?" I asked remembering him calling her 'baby'

"Which dumb idiot would construct boys and girls hostel so close" She complained.

Yeah right...now I have to encounter adrien more often, I thought he flew to some abroad prestigious high class college.

"Marinette you are...zoning out" tessa pointed out as she arranged her desk.

This girl has OCD, I don't know how she's gonna tolerate my messy side of room.

"I don't want to intrude or something but do you know that black haired guy?!" I asked as it seems like I caught her off-guard.

"H-He....I loved him but he just fake dated me to win in a bet" She looked at the verge of tears.

"It's okay, sometimes bad things teach us life lesson" I told as she gave me a smile.

"What about you, do have any boyfriend and sorry for my mom's series of intruding questions" She apologized.

"No problem, I guess she has her reasons and no, I don't have any boyfriend" I politely told her.

"that's great and...ever since my high school roommate introduced me to harry and leading to my heart break and all, she became like this" Tessa shrugged.

"Think this as a new chapter in your life" I set tikki's doll house beside my bed.

"Past is past, I'm going to take bath, you...want to come too?" tessa asked.

"yeah, tomorrow is the first day, I better be prepared" I took all necessities and went with her.

She's the best roommate I could ever ask for. She's considerate, kind and we kinda clicked on spot.

I came yesterday evening but she came today morning with her mother who was the 2.0 version of adrien's father.

After bidding her mother goodbye, I showed her the way back and that's when we bumped into adrien.

He was my first crush who still holds a special place in my heart but that's it. I thought I had a chance with him but everything got shattered when he dated lila.

And well alya literally opened my eyes by being lila's relationship adviser. I don't hate alya, she reminded me that adrien never truly belonged to me. He always tells everyone that 'I'm a good friend' though sometimes I felt like more than good friends. It was one-sided anyway.

I waited for tessa after my long shower thoughts which also gave me a clarity.

I am 18, I shouldn't mourn over my reckless teenage crush.

I should learn from tessa though, the guy she loved literally pretended to love her for a bet and she's strong enough to endure it.

"Sorry I took long" she apologized

"No need to apologize, we are friends so next time I'll make you wait longer as a payback" I told as we chuckled.

We went to our room and prepared for tomorrow morning.
