Chapter 11

Adrien's pov:

I slowly walked towards the table and took a seat next to ben. There was an awkward tension between us as I tolerated it. 

"You are that model agreste, adrien?" That korean girl asked 

"Indeed yes, marinette knows him too" Ben told as mari's eyes went wide

"You do mari?" She asked

"Yeah I remember I guess, he and his girlfriend are the super model couples of our school at that time" One could hear the disgust in that.

"His girlfriend is in my class marinette, maybe we all could hang out" Ben tried to hit on her at the worst timing.

"I heard hang out, count me in" Lila placed herself beside me and intertwined her hand with my hand on table.

This fucking bitch!!

"Oops! I forgot my phone at class, I'll go and fetch" She dragged sara with her and ran away.

"She's so cute" Ben looked at marinette dreamily.

"You like her ben?" Lila asked as I kept quiet.

I'm tired of talking, Once I got rid of those photos then I'll throw this bitch through the window.

"Yeah" He blushed as I internally cringed.

"Don't take it in a wrong way but mari's into older guys, when she was 15 she dated a 24 year old guy" She lied.

I wanted to scream, when she was 15 she was carrying a baby!! and yet spreading rumours about mari

"W-What!! but... I thought she likes me, she called me cinnamon roll" Ben looked sad.

I don't want to correct because I hope ben would stop chasing after marinette.

Just as I was looking for a chance to escape, my phone ringed.

Max!

"Natalie is calling" I pretended and walked away.

I went inside the mens bathroom and closed the door. I can't risk people hearing me.

"Max, everything is successful right?" I asked.

"I deleted all the photos in her laptop and mobile phone" Max told.

One month back I fixed some superbugs Max gave me into lila's phone and laptop.

But yeah I didn't tell max about lila having mari's picture instead I lied to him that she's blackmailing with a video of me beating someone and threatening to release it.

"But what if she finds out" I asked.

"She won't, the moment she puts the password everything would delete automatically in front of her eyes so she can't blame anyone" He said

"Thank god" I should break up with her asap.

"But adrien I saw the history of lila printing some photos, there's a 97 percent possibility it could be your photos, so check it" He dropped a big bomb and hung up.

I already have a guess. That box in which she keeps random things, I should get my hands on it.

I walked out as I bumped into someone. I looked down at marinette and offered her a hand.

She took it without looking up and adjusted her beanie to look at me properly.

Should I run?

"I'm sor...ry..." She looked at me with wide eyes.

Man up adrien!

Ask her for something!

And just like that she walked.

Fuck

I walked to class slowly and sat on my seat. I want mari to look at me sweetly and give some sarcastic comments.

But that's never gonna happen, if only if I could transform into chat noir and meet her.

In a way marinette is the first girl who confessed to me as chat noir, of course who would love adrien fucking agreste.

"Adrien agreste"

What would she think if she discovers that I am chat noir. She would definitely feel disgusted with herself for loving someone like me.

"Mr.Adrien Agreste"

Well if I could go back in time, I would have happily accepted her as my girlfriend, I could've prevented her father from getting akumatized.

I still remember her running with tears while yelling she would name her hamster 'lonely'.

Adrien or chat noir I never failed to hurt her. I'm such a jerk.

"ADRIEN" I looked up to see my whole class looking at me and my teacher with a angry face.

"I've been calling you for a while" Professor whatever he is looks pissed.

Shit! if I caught into trouble my dad would give this as an excuse and would withdraw me from hostel.

"I'm sorry sir, this won't happen again" I looked sincere.

"I'll let you off this time, come hear and take a topic sheet for this semester project" he shot daggers at me.

I picked up a sheet which has fabric details and serial number A27

"Serial number A27" I told as no one raised their hands.

But after a few seconds mari raised her hands.

"That girl...what's your name...Ms.Dupain-cheng, go and sit at the back" The professor told as I tried to control my grin.

I guess the professor heard my wish to sit beside her!

"Next" He shouted at my ears as I walked to my seat beside marinette

I sat down beside her as she repelled away to the corner.

"Marinette-.." I turned towards her

"About the project, let's meet at the library after classes and discuss" Her voice held finality. Like a warning board reading 'don't talk to me unless you want to see me strangle you'

I kept quiet and actually took notes.

As the professor gave time to discuss about the project I just looked at her while she chated with luka.

It's pissing me off  that she won't even spare me a glance while smiling at luka's messages.

When we are in school, she would smile at me awkwardly and she always rant adorably with her hands flying in every direction to make a single point.

But now

She's not even saying a single word to me.

I always thought that marinette is more than just a friend. But I convinced myself that 'she's just friend' because at that time I loved ladybug. I still do but as a well wisher.

I don't regret loving ladybug at all but I do regret playing with kagami and my stupid attempts to convince myself that marinette is just a good friend.

If only if I spent my time figuring out my feelings instead of trying to suppress them by telling to myself and to everyone that 'marinette is a good friend'
