Hospital-
I'd been here for nearly 9 hours now and I was on my final hour of my shift.
"There's been a shooting!" Emmet
"What?!" Mia
"Depending on how bad it is we may have to do extra time." Emmet
"What happened?" Niamh
"Some sort of riot. They started shooting, the police couldn't keep them at bay." Emmet
"So, what happened?" Carter
"Apparently they've called the avengers. That's all I know." Emmet
"Doctor Jacob! Doctor Thorn! You're needed in the ER immediately!"
(It's Niamh Jacob and Emmet Thorn)
"We've got to go." Emmet
"Go." Mia
"Don't waste time." Carter
"Bye." Niamh
Niamh and Emmet run off
"What's happening in the ER?" Mia
"I have no idea." Carter
"Could it be because of the riot?" Mia
"There's no other reason, it sounded urgent." Carter
"Yeah, it did." Mia
A nurse runs toward them
"Nurse Newman, doctor Johnson, you're both needed."
"Lead the way." Mia
The three of them run down the hallways and Mia and Carter see a man in a stretcher
"What happened?" Mia
"Bullet would to the chest."
"Vitals?" Mia
"So far stable but he's losing too much blood and the bullet needs to be removed."
"Me and nurse Newman will take it from here." Mia
"Doctor Johnson, the ER is full." Carter
"Then get me to another room I can operate in! Quickly!" Mia
"Doctor Johnson, this way!"
"Let's go." Mia
The nurses wheel him away and Mia rushes off after them not stopping to see the people who brought him in.
Hospital room-
"Someone inform his family that we'll be here for at least an hour." Mia
"I'll go." Nurse 1
Mia starts removing the bullet.
40 minutes later
Lobby-
"Where the hell is everyone?" Emmet
"Everyone's busy tending to other patients. There were quite a few people shot tonight, many injured." Nurse 2
"Any deaths?" Emmet
"Not yet, I don't think. There's still three people in surgery though." Nurse 2
"Do you know where Mia is?" Emmet
"She was rushed into an emergency surgery to remove a bullet from someone's chest. She won't be out for at least half an hour but it will probably be around 2 hours." Nurse 2
