He started at brisk pace until he noticed a veil of a seemingly immense amount of darkness beginning to shroud the appearance of a nearby rose. As the shroud began to take shape, a pair of piercing red eyes shone through with its immediate attention directed at Brice, advancing towards him. The Grue began surrounding him, panicking only out of his own will broke free, beginning his sprint towards the light in the distance.

The Grue trailed only a couple of metres behind Brice as he was ducking, jumping, bobbing, and weaving through the gauntlet of trees.

Brice's only thought running through his mind was, "Is this mysterious stranger really worth finding?". Deep down, he was certain that his choice to return the scroll, clenched tightly in his hand, was truly worth it if it meant getting to meet his one and only.

Drawing closer, fatigue setting in, legs in agony. He felt them start to give. Vision slightly blurred from exhaustion, he did not notice a particularly knotted and gnarled root, protruding out of the ground. Tripping and tumbling heavily on to the ground mere metres away from his destination, sending the scroll skeetering towards the ornate door leading to the light source. Rolling over to turn and face the Grue looming over him. Willing his fear down, that was slowly consuming him on the inside, accepting his fate. That was until he noticed a bright violet pulse of energy repel the Grue away.

Brushing the dirt off his clothes, he looked up to notice the mysterious figure offering a gloved hand to him. Taking it, Brice felt that the hand had an inexplicable heat radiating from it, heaving himself up.

"You must be Brice, am I correct?" Gesturing for Brice to come in.
