hey, welcome to the first special chapter of this book. It is a valentine's day special.
a little recap: you confessed to kuroo and got into a relationship a day or two after spring nationals, so now during valentine's day you've only been dating for a short amount of time.

y/n POV

Having a boyfriend for Valentine's day is such a different experience than not having one. I mean obviously it's different, but I really like the change. Tetsurō and I made plans to go a small cafe and enjoy the entire day together. It's on a Sunday too, so neither of us have any school, I was supposed to have work but I convinced my parents to give me a day off. They still aren't aware that I am dating someone but I don't want to tell them yet.

I start getting ready to head out. We are meeting at the cafe at one, so I still have two hours before I go meet him. I change my clothes, after taking a bath and style my hair. I stare at my face for a long time deciding whether or not to put on makeup and in the end I decided to [put it on/not put it on]. I look at myself once more in mirror before I grab the chocolates I made the night before and head out.

The cafe we choose to meet up at is around halfway between our houses, so it is going to take me around half an hour to get there. I enjoy the views around me as the cool winter wind blows around sending small shivers up my spine. I should've brought gloves or a hat or something.

Being with Tetsurō has been a fun experience, even though we haven't been together for that long. I thought it would be harder since we both go to different schools, but he visits me at work almost every time I have a shift. We also text and facetime each other a lot, the only thing we don't usually do is go on dates like this. I don't think it'll be that different from when he comes to the store, but I'm still a little nervous.

I reach the cafe 10 minutes before one, and take a seat waiting for Tetsurō. He shows up 5 minutes after me and sits down across from me.

"Hey," he smiles.

"Hey."

"Have your ordered yet?," he asks picking up a menu.

"I ordered a water so they don't think kick me out, but other than that no. I already know what I want though."

"Okay, I'll quickly find my order now."

He scans through the menu while I look at his outfit. He is wearing a dark, thick jacket with jeans and a shirt. Around his neck he has woollen scarf, which he has taken off and put in his pocket. He looks good.

"I'm ready to order now, should we call the waiter now?" he asks.

I nod my head and Tetsurō calls the waiter over, he orders his drink and some baked goods for the both of us and lets me place me order. The waiter takes our orders down and smiles as they leave.

"Hey, so I never really said it before but happy valentine's day," I say giving him the chocolates I made.

His eyes widen with excitement when he sees the chocolates and says, "You made these for me? Can I try one right now?"

"I mean I just melted some chocolates, set them in a heart shaped mold and then attempted to write words on top. So technically I didn't really make them, but I thought this would be more personal than just store bought chocolates. And yea they're yours now, you don't have to ask to eat them."

"Thank you y/n," he says opening the box looking at the chocolates, "They're perfect. Oh I almost forgot, happy valentine's day."

He holds a small box poorly wrapped in a red and pink heart wrapping paper. There was a small smiley face on the top written in a black sharpie and a black heart right beside it.
