Part 2

"Uh... Hi?"
At this point in her life Percy didn't know what the Hades she was doing with her life, but right now... she was pointing a sword at Batman. The Batman.
The same Batman who lived in Gotham, not Metropolis.

Her roommate had gone clubbing with friends that night, so when she heard the sound of footsteps creeping up behind her, she did what anyone would have done, Percy drew Riptide and swung the mythical sword to the neck of her stalker.
Only she wasn't expecting it to be Batman, more specifically she didn't expect it to be a hero, one of her cousins or a monster? Maybe, but a mortal hero? No way.

She tried to recall if she had done anything that could have attracted the caped-crusader to her door and pulled a blank.
Percy had been completely under the radar for once.

"Perseus Jackson."
His voice was gruff, and Percy could tell it was altered.
"Uh, yeah that's me."

Even behind his white lenses on his cowl, Percy could just feel him glance down at the mythical sword unimpressed.
His gaze seemed to say: remove it or it will be removed.

Yeah, Percy didn't need to be told twice.
Lowing the sword to her side, (still in its sword form in order to be used at a moment's notice) she eyed him uneasily.
"So...why are you here."

"You shouldn't be surprised, Miss Jackson." He inclined his head towards Riptide, "you haven't been subtle."
She raised an eyebrow in question.
"Fighting three 'old women' in broad daylight, 'blowing up the arch' falling from it without a scratch. Causing a nationwide manhunt, then turning up on the other side of the country and getting in a gunfight with your supposed captor?
"Not to mention being sighted in the 24 hour time period Manhattan was completely shut down, no one knows what happened during that time but with the damage caused one could guess.
"Then you suddenly disappear off the face of the Earth only to be spotted in Alaska and then across Europe seemingly randomly." He looked pointedly at her and Percy knew immediately that no lie she could scrape together would convince the dark knight, but she couldn't exactly expose her secret either.

"Look I just had a bad childho—"

"I know you're a demigod."

His words made her mouth fly open, her excuse dying in her throat. "How-how do you know?"

The corner of his mouth quirked up slightly and Percy would bet Leo Riptide that it was the closest the big bad bat ever got to smiling whilst in costume.
"I didn't know for sure until now."

Percy closed her mouth quickly, her sea-green eyes glaring furiously at him. "Why are you here?"

The hero observed her for a moment, seemingly deciding whether or not to reply. "I wanted to see if you were a threat."

She raised an eyebrow at that, "am I?"

"Yes." Batman said slowly, "just to whoever you consider your enemy." He gestured towards her sword. "Although I think it best if you...were around other individuals like yourself."

"So what? You want me to join some junior league? With all the kiddies?" Percy wasn't as dumb as she looked, she had heard of the Teen Titans, a team supposedly consisted of only younger heroes.

"No."

"No what?"

"There is no 'mini-league." At the questioning look she shot him the dark knight elaborated.
"Robin made his own team, yes. But if the Teen Titans wish to be independent of the league then we will grant their wish."

Percy took his words in, her respect for the bat-themed hero growing just a little bit bigger. Although she still didn't understand what he was trying to say.

"So...?"

"I want you on the team."

"And what team is that?"

"The Justice League."

"Batman... I don't think this is a good idea..."
The hero in question didn't even slow his long strides as Percy began to slowly fall behind. "The last time I fought..." The ravenette took in a deep inhale. "It didn't end so good..."
The dark knight didn't glance back, showing no sign of having even heard the young demigod.
"If this is your weird way of helping me..by ignoring me...it's not helping."

"You'll be fine."

She stared at him incredulously before jogging to catch up to him. "Did you not hear a word I said? I just basically said I'm 'not' fine." Percy waited a moment to give the man a chance to speak, when he remained silent all she did was scoff.

Why the hell had she said yes to the man?
She really needed to work on her impulse choices.

Finally resuming walking, Percy followed the masked man further into the Hall of Justice. Her nerves getting the best of her as she lamely attempted to stop her hands from shaking.
She was about to meet the entire Justice League! Unlike the gods, she was moments away from meetings powerful beings that actually got shit done with their power. It was almost enough to bring tears of joy to her eyes. Not everyone with power was a bastard! Who would have thought?

They came before two large doors, painted gold with inscriptions containing a moto cheesy enough to make Apollo cry.

"Are you ready?"

"Sir—with absolutely no respect—what the fuck did I literally just tell-" She broke off as the door swung open, her green eyes widening as dozens of eyes stared at her.

Following the bat's lead, Percy slowly stepped into the room, her eyes quickly travelling to every cape in the room. She suddenly felt very small before them, these were heroes before her.

Never one for gently approaching the topic, Batman stood stoically before his team, and promptly ripped off the fucking bandaid without a second thought.

"I would like to introduce, Perseus," the demigod cleared her throat at that, "Percy," he corrected with a stink eye in her direction, "Jackson who will be joining this team."

"Percy..Jackson?" Aquaman's eyes widened in shock before the Atlantian took a knee. "Hail Daughter of the Sea."

"What the fuck."
