Humanity Vs The Titans- a Eren x Reader story

4.The Expedition Pt.1

I just wanted to say that this is basically a filler and the next part will all be back to what I'm fully coming up with!
(3rd Person POV)

"Let the 57th expedition outside the walls COMMENCE!'" Commander Erwin demanded. As the gates opened all of the horses started trotting forward. They were doing good slaughtering every titan needed. Then the ground started shaking crazily. Then there was black smoke. 'An abnormal? how'd it get this far into the formation?' Eren asked himself. "Yeager, fire the flare" Captain Levi ordered Eren. "Y-yes sir!" Eren said Grabbing the black flare and shooting it into the Sky.

Levi's Squad headed into a big forest with other squads guarding the outside. "Draw your blades, if we see it. It'll only be for a second." Captain Levi orders his squad. Eren and Petra looks behind them as the Female Titan crosses through the forest, murdering every scout that crosses her path and starts chasing the Levi squad.

Eld and Gunther look back. "Its fast" Eld says. "In these trees, Theres no way to foresee and evade its attacks!" Gunther replies. "It'll catch us!" Eld says still looking back at the Female Titan. Also looking back at the Female Titan, with fear striking her beautiful brown eyes Petra screams "Captain, Lets switch to Maneuver gear!"

"YOU WON'T ESCAPE!" Yells an incoming scout member. "Reinforcements from the rear!" Petra says in excitement believing they are saved. As the Female Titan kills yet two more soldiers Eren looks back at her in fear and in rage. "Captain, Your orders!?" Petra screams now in complete horror. "Let's go for it!...It's dangerous..."..."We should kill it!" Oulo says. "At this rate, it WILL catch up with us! We kill it here... That's why we came to this forest! Right Captain?" Oulo proceeds.

"Captain, Your orders!" Eren screams. "Everyone, cover your ears." Captain Levi orders calmly as he loads and shoots a special flare with an ear piercing sound into the air. Everyone covers their ears. "A noise grenade?" Eren questions. "What is your job?To just let yourself be swayed by whatever your feeling in the moment? No It's Not. Our squads job.. Is to keep the brat from getting a single scratch on him. Even if it costs our lives." Captain Levi responds. Everyone looks at Eren not knowing what he's thinking. While Eren was thinking to himself. 'It wasn't to keep watch on me?' "We keep going on our horses, got it?" Captain Levi states. "Roger!" Petra responds. "Keep going? For how long? and its right on top of us..." Eren questions. He then looks back to see that the Female Titan is still right behind them killing every single soldier thar crosses her path. "Again! The Reinforcements! if we dont help, they'll be wiped out again!" Eren yells at his squad mates. "Eren, eyes on the road!" Gunther orders. "Sir!" Eren says as he looks back at Gunther. "keep your pace up...Stay at top speed!." Eld says. "but, sir... WHY!? If Levi squad doesn't defeat it, then who will?" Eren questions.

Looking behind him he watches as the Female Titan Kills another soldier coming as reinforcements. "Another ones dead...And maybe we could've saved him!" Eren says. "Another ones still fighting, We could still make it!" He continues. "Eren, eyes back on the road keep going!" Petra orders. "Are you telling me to look away? To abandon my comrade and run?!" Eren asks. "yes, Thats right! Ober the Captains orders!" Petra answers. Eren and the others keep going back and fourth for a bit.

'No... I can fight on my own..Why am i relying on others?I can just fight on my own.. Eren thinks to himself as he draws back his swords and puts his thumb to his mouth. "What are you doing, Eren? Petra asks as Eren stops before he can bite down on his hand, and looks at her. "Your only allowed to do that if your life is in danger. You promised us!" Petra adds. As Eren contemplates if he should bite his hand or not he decided he should! As he's about to bite his hand again. "EREN!" Petra yells.

"You aren't wrong. if you want to, do it.I can tell.He's a real monster.And it has nothing to do with his Titan Power.No matter what power you use to suppress him, No matter what cage you put him in, He will not submit to anyone. Eren, the difference between your decision ours is Experience.But you don't have to rely on that. Choose. Believe in yourself, or believe in the survey corps and me. I don't know..I never have. I can believe in my own abilities or the opinions of companions I trust. But no one ever knows how it will turn out. so choose for yourself which decision you'll regret least." Levi says, giving a long and inspirational speech. And with that everyone keeps telling Eren to believe in them. "ILL GO FORWARD!" Eren yells surprising everyone. As he looks back another soldier being killed.

(Time Skip)

Everyone in the Levi Squad except Eren and Captain Levi himself are now all dead and they are proceeding on with the expedition.
