Bill was overly excited about everything he saw in the shack.

In retrospect, Dipper realized that maybe it wasn't a good idea to show him the shop since he didn't seem to understand most of the exhibits were fake, but Dipper found it funny about how he asked about everything.

"What's that?" Bill asked excitedly.

"That's a rock Soos found. He thought it looked like it was shaped like pizza." Dipper said.

"Oooo, it does look like pizza." Bill commented.

Dipper decided it was best move on.

He lead Bill upstairs to his room.

"And this is my room. We don't really have a spare room right now so you'll be staying in here with me until we can figure something out." Dipper explained.

Dipper sat on the end of his bed while Bill looked around.

"What about my house?" Bill asked.

"You...you didn't really have one." Dipper said.

"Really? I was homeless? What about my family? Aren't they worried about me?" Bill asked.

"Well...you didn't talk about them much, but from what I understand you didn't really have a family. You mentioned you had a brother, but he doesn't live anywhere near and I have no idea how to get into contact with him." Dipper explained. Bill frowned and sat next to Dipper.

"No home? No family? Wow, my life is sounding pretty pathetic." Bill said glumly.

"Bill...it's more complicated than you think. I just...I can't explain it..." Dipper began to say.

"You can't explain it, or Ford won't let you explain it?" Bill asked.

"What?"

"I heard bits of your conversation... not enough to really learn anything, but Ford doesn't want me knowing who I really am, does he?" Bill asked. Dipper hesitated.

"No, he doesn't." Dipper admitted.

"But why? What did I do?" Bill asked.

"Bill, it's..."

"Complicated?" Bill finished.

"Yeah...you just...you weren't the best person when we first met...you tried to redeem yourself before all this happened but we don't really know what your motives were. And Ford is just afriad you might revert to your old habits if you got your memories back." Dipper explained.

Bill sat in silence for a long time.

"Okay." Bill finally said.

"Okay? Okay what?" Dipper asked.

"Okay, I won't dig any deeper. I won't ask questions or try to remember. I trust you Pinetree." Bill said. He gave Dipper a smile.

"But why? I mean, what if I'm lying to you?" Dipper asked. Bill laughed lightly.

"I don't know Pinetree, just a gut feeling, almost feels like some sort of magic. I think I would know if you're lying." Bill said.

"Are you sure you aren't just clinging to me because I was the first person I saw when you woke up?" Dipper asked.

"Why don't we test it?" Bill asked.

"How? Do you want me to tell you something and you figure out if I'm lying?" Dipper asked sarcastically.

"Yeah exactly!" Bill said excitedly.

Dipper gave him a doubtful look.

"No I mean it. You tell me something like two things that are true and one lie. And I'll figure out which one is a lie." Bill suggested.
