Luz's POV

"Do you have any money left? Or did it catch fire?" I asked.
Amity sighed and pulled out a few 20 dollar bills and I hummed.
"We're okay for now I guess" I said.
We walked along the side of the road until I stopped. I held my thumb out and Amity tilted her head.
"What the hell are you up to now?" Amity grumbled.
"I'm getting us a ride" I murmured.
Amity groaned and leaned on me. I chuckled and pushed her off me. A car pulls up to us and we looked in the window.
"Heya lil' girlies, ya' need a ride?" He smirked.
I gulped and held Amitys hand.
"Y-yeah, could you led us one mate?" I asked, trying to seem more confident infront of Amity.
"Yer' lucky, up ahead is a sketchy neighborhood" he says, opening the door to his car.
Amity went in the back and I went to sit with her but then the guy stopped me.
"Yer' sittin up here with me"
I nervously smile and sit in the passenger side.
"So, what are y'all doing walking around on the road?" He asks.
"Oh, just a lil road trip" Amity says.
He hums and nods his head.
After a half-hour of driving and making small talk with this guy, he pulls up at this café.
"Are y'all hungry?" He smiles.
I shake my head but Amity insists we go in. I got out and opened the door for Amity. She smiles at me and and smile back. We ordered a little bit of food and then went to sit down.
"Oh, can I pay you back?" Amity asks.
"No, no, it's my treat" he smiles.
"Um, may I be excused?" I asked.
He chuckles and nods. I get up and rush to the bathroom. I get in there and sit on the ground.
"Why does he remind me of Ethan..." I mumbled to myself.
"Hey, you okay Noceda?"
I looked up and it was Amity.
"O..oh, uh..yeah I'm fine" I said, wiping my tears.
"Okay, don't be harsh too on yourself" Amity says, leaving a kiss on my head.
I sighed and sat up. The door opened and I turned around. It was the sketchy guy.
"U-uh, what are you doing in here?" I ask.
He chuckles and puts his hand on my shoulder.
"I saw yer eyes, you want me, huh?" He smirked.
"U..um, n-no" I say, tears falling from my eyes a bit.
"Don't ya cry girlie, it'll be over soon-"
All I hear next was a deep scream, and I felt a warm liquid hit my face..it was definitely blood..
I opened my eyes and half of the guys face was blown off. He fell to the ground and I saw Amity behind him with a pistol.
"Are you ok?" She asks.
"Amity, you just fucking killed a guy!" I yelled in a hushed voice.
She grabbed my hand and we ran to the window.
"It's pretty high up-"
Amity jumped out the window and I watched in confusion. I crawled out, but fell.
"Get to his car" Amity commanded.
I nodded my head and tried to go the fastest I could. I jumped in and she pulled out a pocket knife and cut the cords.
"What are you doing?!" I asked.
"I'm hot wiring the car, duh" Amity rolled her eyes.
The car started and she sped off.

Amitys POV

'Holy shit! What do we do?!' I thought, waiting outside of a gas station for Luz. I walked inside and I saw Luz grabbing an Advil.
"Hey, are you feeling okay?" I asked.
"I just watched you kill a person, so, not really" Luz mumbled.
"Hey, I promise to make up for that.. inconvenience..like, I'll pay for the pills for you" I said.
She smiled softly and nodded. We went up to to cashier to pay and then we saw something on the tv. It was a video of me shooting that guy..
I panicked and took Luz by the hand and we ran out of the doors.
"W-what are we doing?!" Luz asked
"We need to get out of here now" I said.
I pushed the gas pedal and sped off again.
"So, are we just going to keep on running?" Luz asked.
"Not unless we have somewhere to hide out" I murmured.
"I have a place we can go!"

Luz took a deep breath before knocking on the door. My jaw dropped when I saw who it was.
"Hey Lucia, we kinda have a problem.."
