Charlie and you had been an off and on thing for years. Why wasn't it just consistent you might be asking? You couldn't commit. One two many heartbreaks happened to you because of people who you thought loved you the most. Charlie came along and you were scared to say the least. You met because of your mutual friend Owen. Owen took the initiative and introduced the two of you since you both would just sit and stare at each other from across the room the couple times you two crossed paths. Owen could see that. Owen was the closest thing to family you had. He was like a brother to you. So when he did introduce you and Charlie you thanked him but yet hated him at the same time.
"Hey," Charlie approached you while you had just arrived at Owen and Charlie's shared apartment. "I missed you." He says pulling you into his embrace as you smile and melt into his touch.
"I missed you too, even if it's only been a week." You joked with the taller brown haired boy. He laughed pulling away to give you a kiss.
Charlie showed you how someone should be treated. Showed you how to be taken cared for and appreciated. It's one of the things that makes you keep going back to him. That and his amazing kisses and the way the two of you just mold together so nicely. But there was still something in the back of your mind holding you back. You were so afraid that when something finally went right in your life something bad was going to come and counteract that so quickly.
"So, I was thinking before Owen comes home you and I can go get some food." He said with that million dollar smile that made you fall for him.
"That sounds nice. I would like that." You said as his hand found yours leading the two of you towards the door and out into the town. Most restaurants or diners were within walking distance of their apartment so the two of you set on your little stroll to the same place you three always go get food. The fresh air breezed along your bare skin giving you the chills as Charlie noticed, taking off his jacket and placing it around your shoulders. Then proceeded to wrap his arm around your shoulders to bring you into him. Making you instantly feel warm.
"Thank you." You say softly. Whenever Charlie did things like this it left you speechless. How is this man so soft, gentle, caring, and nice? Every other guy that was in your life would never do anything near as nice as what Charlie does. It made you feel something, something stronger than butterflies but you didn't know how to describe it.
"How are you doing today?" He asks as the two of you cross the street.
"I'm doing a lot better now that's for sure." You say looking up at him making him smirk and kiss the top of your head.
"How are you?" You asked back
"Me? Fantastic!" He exclaims, making you laugh. He loved making you laugh, he loved making you smile. He loved helping you realize that this is how things are supposed to be.
"Don't overexert yourself now." You say as the two of you got closer to the diner. The two of you continued your conversation into the diner as the hostess guided you both to a table. Charlie thanked the hostess as the waiter came over to take your drink orders.
"So, how's filming been going?" You asked once the waiter left.
"It's so great! You should come meet everyone soon! I'm sure Kenny won't mind an extra person on set. You know Owen would be all for it too." He said trying to persuade you to say yes. You shrugged your shoulders.
"I don't know, I don't want to bother or interrupt anything?" You said fumbling with your fingers. Charlie scoffed
"You know that would never be the case! Kenny is so open to anything he would seriously love someone else around and to give an outside opinion on things." He said grabbing your hand from across the table. Rubbing his thumb over your knuckles to calm you down. The same feeling from earlier came back making you confused. Smiling at him you responded,
