You lived in New York. Charlie on the other hand was currently living in California. You hated being long distance but as soon as you had enough money saved up you were going to move out there with him. Although long distance sucked, Charlie came out to surprise you a couple days ago and is now staying for a week or so!

"Hey lover, what are you up to?" You hear Charlie say as he wraps his arms around you from behind. Resting his head on your shoulder. You smiled, turning your head to kiss his.

"Just making some lunch for the two of us." You say flipping the grilled cheese that was on the pan. He stood up, arms still around your waist but kissed the back of your head.

"Well, thank you. It smells good." He says as he stays put until you finish with both sandwiches. Until now you and Charlie haven't seen each other in a good couple of months. So he wanted to be by you for every second to make up for all the lost moments.

"I wanna take you somewhere today!" You say taking a bite of your sandwich. His face lit up as he got excited.

"Oh yeah? Where is that?" He asks, wiping his face with a napkin.

"The ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center!" You say

"Really?" He asks, getting excited. You nod laughing at how excited he got.

"Yes! So once you are done we will get ready to go!" As you say that he starts to eat faster and before you know it he's putting his dishes in the sink and washing his hands.

"Ok, done. I'll go get ready." He says leaving you to finish your sandwich by yourself. You quickly finished then headed to your closet to bundle yourself up. You saw Charlie's suitcase open so you ran over and stole one of his hoodies and put it on before he came back from the bathroom.

"Hey, where did my hoo- oh." He says coming back from the bathroom noticing that the hoodie had gone missing then turned around to see you standing cutely there wearing it giggling.

"I think I just died and went to heaven." He says dramatically. "Damn, that looks so good on you." He says coming over to you and taking your hand making you twirl around for him so he could get the best overall view. Making you giggle even more.

"You know what, you can keep it. You pull it off better than I ever did." He says going to find one of his other hoodies that he brought. He lowkey brought multiple hoodies in case you did steal one. He didn't mind one bit.

"I love you." You tell him walking over to where he was and kissing him. Making him smile and kissing you again.

"I love you too. Now let's get this party started. " He says taking your hand and your keys going down to your car. He did this a lot, driving your car. You had no problem with it. You liked it. He's a very hands on person so his hand was always either on your leg or in your hand. Just when you thought that his hand was on your thigh giving it a squeeze. Soon enough you were at the skating rink putting skates on.

Charlie being from Canada has skated plenty of times. You had been ice skating multiple times. But did you know how to skate? Not one clue. He was helping you tie the laces up and grabbed your hands helping you stand up. The two of you then walked hand in hand over to the crowded rink.

Taking one step on the ice and almost immediately falling. You were grateful that Charlie was there or else you totally would have just fallen on your butt so hard. He laughs catching you and holding you steady.

"Yeah I guess I should have mentioned that I can't skate." You say sheepishly

"That's okay! That's what I'm here for." He says, sending you his signature smile. You two went gliding across the rink as he held your hands and stood in front of you guiding you as he skated backwards. Sharing laughs, kisses and hand squeezes.

"See! You're doing it! I'm so proud of you!" He says letting go of your hands once you felt like you got the hang of it. Smiling as you started skating towards Charlie but ended up missing your footing and falling right into him making him break your fall for you.

"Oh maybe you don't." He says laughing as you two laid there for a second laughing.

"Yeah maybe I don't." You say as he helps you up wiping the ice off of you.

"But at least I have a really cute teacher." You say winking at him, making him chuckle.

"Plus, watching you try and skate is pretty cute too." He says as you lean up against the wall of the rink as he stands in front of you hands on your waist. You smile as you lean up to kiss him. He kissed you back giving your sides a squeeze deepening the kiss. You smile then pull away remembering that you were in public.

"Just wait til we are home." He says in your ear before the two of you went around the rink one more time.

Skating was going to become a tradition for the two of you now. You couldn't wait.
