I spent time teaching Noya and I'm actually surprised how he easily catches on.
"So that's it. You get all of this?" He nods with a smile.
"Yeah."
His smile... It's tight, so I face him and looked at him in the eye and asked him in a serious manner
"You don't get it do you?"
After a few seconds, he sighed. "No."
I groaned. So all this time, 3 hours wasted and he didn't get a single thing on what I'm teaching him. I take back what I said earlier.
"See this is exactly what I mean when I said I can't teach." I lay down on my bed with a huff while Noya sits there beside me.
"Why don't you try a different method." He suggests and I look at him. "How do you study math?"
I sat up and thought. I never really study math or science. Those two were my core subjects that I never fail, but there are times that I do study for it.
"Well, I usually rewrite my notes when I forget how to solve for something or as a refresher. It helps open up realizations on how the flow is, and you'll get to see how a thing is solved first hand, and when you don't get it you can ask questions."
He was a genius! With that way he better be able to learn something. I smile and gave him my pad.
" Nishinoya, Yuu are a genius! Please note the pun. "I grin and he chuckled.
"Did you just--" He snorted a laugh.
"Wait here, I still have my notes from back then that we're now studying.
With that, I asked him to rewrite my notes and formulas, spending 4 hours into the night. He asked a question almost every 5 minutes which is a good thing since it shows he's actually trying to take in all the information.
This repeated every night, sometimes during a short break we would go study math or make some sort of joke, then he would tell the team how he knew a math trick on 8+8+8.
