I walked to Mcdonalds while carrying my duffel bag.

I was still wearing my soccer uniform and just finished practicing for our game this Wednesday. I'm all tired and sweaty. Not really ideal for a meet up but who cares.

Although I'm very tired, I still wanna go and see you because finally after several months of only calls and texts I'm meeting you in person. In real life.

This is a dream come true for me.

"Nasan ka na? Nandito na ako sa may Mcdonalds. Hindi kita nakikita." I said while talking to you on the phone.

I searched for you inside but you weren't there. I'm starting to think you're hiding from me. I swear if you ghosted me I'll beat the living lights out of you.

[Sa may Greenwich sa gilid lang non.]

I went to the side. Looked left and right then that's when I saw your figure.

You're there.

You're actually there!

I suppressed my smile. I still can't believe this is happening. You did come. You really did come!

I walked slowly behind you and you didn't felt my presence.

I'm now standing behind you. The guy I loved for months and the guy... who broke my heart into a thousand pieces.

I left my bag in the floor then hugged you from the back. I don't care if people stare at us I just wanna hug you badly. I want you to feel how I feel. How badly I long for your touch and comfort.

"Ellie?"

Hearing your voice in real life makes my heart skip a beat.

I hugged you tighter trying to remember that warmth feeling that I'll probably never have again.

"Just one more minute then I'll go. " I said, feeling your hands placed on my arm  enveloped in your waist.

"Pero..."

"One hug then I'll go. That's our deal and that's what you came for. I stay true to my words."

That was the hard truth. You only came because I forced you to agree with my deal.

I felt your head turning to look at me. So I buried my face in your back.

"Don't. You'll only make it even harder for me to leave." I said almost in a cracking voice. I felt my tears running down my cheeks. Damn! Why am I even crying? I should be happy right?

I wish we could have stayed like this but I know it's time.

I slowly let go of you even though it's really hard. I don't want to prolong this agony anymore.

I quickly picked up my things and run as fast as I could. Every step I take makes my knees weak.

I can hear you calling my name and also running after me but I didn't look back. I know if I turn around I will accept you and let you brake my heart again.

As soon as I passed the exit, I dashed to my friend's car.

I closed the door then bent my head down. I feel shy for making them wait just because I want to see him.

"Sinasabi na nga ba eh. I told you, Ellie, but you weren't listening to me." Myla said. My bestfriend since birth.

"Not now please."

For the last time, I took a last glance back to the malI. The mirror is not tinted so you probably saw me already. Bloodshot eyes and swollen face? I look like a mess right now.

You were standing in front of the exit with sweat falling down your face.

Chase me all you want I'm done with all your bs. I wiped my tears with my palm then looked straight at the road.

"Let's go."

The car started then we left. It was nice chasing my dream for awhile but it's time to face the reality that I'm never gonna reach my dream. I'm never gonna reach you.

A weak smile crept in my face.
You were my dream but I wasn't yours.
