Episode 2: The Reunion

It's been a year since the Rangers saved the city once again from Lord Ozark's army. However, the rangers' one-year peace will soon come to an end.

At an ancient temple, seven temple guardians were walking up the temple's limestone steps. As the temple guardians approached the entrance, two huge limestone doors opened allowing them to enter. The torches on the walls ignited two at a time as the temple guardians walked further inside the temple.

The group approaches a shrine filled with runes resembling the cosmos. At the center of the room was an altar that held five distinct points in a pentagram formation. On top of each podium are the symbols representing the five elements water, fire, earth, air, and light.

Two members of the group remained behind as the rest all circled the altar at the center of the shrine room. Each of the five members of the temple revealed five distinct talismans while in unison placing them into the pockets of the designated points of the pentagram. The group remained still as they began to meditate.

The leader of the temple guardians couldn't shake off a disturbing presence that will soon invade the temple.

The runes around the room started to glow a deep red color. "Trouble is coming this way, my brothers and sisters," the leader of the temple guardians announced.

The other temple guardians began to worry. "What must we do?" One of the female temple guardians asked.

The leader looked over and pointed at one of the guardians standing at the entrance. "Young one, time is of the essence. I need you to go and seek aid for the temple will be in grave danger, " the leader requested.

The young guardian appeared afraid. "Now go my child and make haste," the leader exclaimed.

In haste, the young guardian rushed out of the room and down the steps of the temple he was on his way to do as he was asked.

The seven guardians regrouped. "Brothers and sisters we must hold off the threat as best we can," the leader said.

---------Forty-eight hours earlier -----------

It was half past 6 in the morning when the sound of an alarm clock went off. Amara was just having a dream when the alarm clock woke her up from her sleep. This is the fifth time during the week having to wake up with cryptic dreams.

The sound of a robotic voice came out from a cylinder device. "Good morning Amara. It's time to get ready for work," the robotic voice announced.

The blinds to her bedroom window automatically started to slowly ascend allowing the sunrise to shine through the window.

She looked over at a corked bulletin board observing the pictures she took over the year. The picture of her family is what always catches her eye all the time. She remembers one of her old neighbors at her old home who took the photos for her before the invasion.

Just looking at the pictures is a part of her morning routine reminding her what had happened over the years. Hope that one day her family will reunite. Now a year later after the invasion, she has found friends who she considers her second family.

She couldn't wait to unite with her friends and catch up with them.

It was quiet since they weren't around as much at the end of the year.

Raquel went on a paradise trip with her parents for two weeks. It was a part of her family's "end-of-the-year" tradition.

Talon got promoted to team captain therefore she was sent away for very important training for two months.

Aaron and his twin brothers went on a camping trip up the forest mountains and stayed at his father's cabin for a month. It was a treat for his twin brothers for behaving at school and getting good grades.
