*Ashley's POV*
"Ari wake your ass up l seriously don't want to be late" l shouted at my sleepy head best friend while coming out of the quick shower.
"Huh? Are we going somewhere? And what time is it anyway?" Ari asked still half asleep.
"Yes miss Ariana Michella we are supposed to babysit my mom's colleague's stupid little child remember? And its currently 8:00am and we were supposed to be there by 8:10am" l literally told her this like 100 times already but she forgot.
"Ahh okay" she said and fell asleep again while sitting.
"ARI!!!" I shouted at her.
"Huh? Sorry sorry" she blinked a few times and sighed then finally sleeping beauty got up.

We finally reached Mrs.Screwer's house. I was on my phone the entire time so when we reached Ari rang the bell "Coming" a voice called out well it's not like l know Mrs.Screwer very well but her voice is just so high pitched you can never forget it.
"Hello sweetheart you are here you look lovely oh my l didn't know you were going to bring a friend but the more the better right? Come in come in"
oh yeah about that she's really nice like one of the nicest people I ever met l only like met her once and she adores me l don't know why though "Hey Mrs.Screwer-"
"Mrs.Screwer? Call me Susan dear and l will call my sons wait"
oh okay so we are going to babysit more than one complete nightmare now ahh forget it how bad can it be "Josh, Daren honey come downstairs".
Alright hold on now ok ok so one of them is like 7 which makes sense and her other son looks like just a few months older than us l think?. Me and Ari looked at each other not sure how to respond.
"Oh sweethearts don't get me wrong so Josh over here is currently grounded and my sons don't get along at all l am not proud of it but what can l do? So l cant trust him to stay alone at home with Daren l mean l don't want to return home to see my house burning down" Susan explained.
"Oh its cool we don't mind babysitting your sons" Ari said yeah well for me l am about to tease the shit out of Josh and more over he's in my chemistry class so l sort of know him from school. Today is gonna be good good.
"Oh Mrs- l mean Susan don't worry we are going to take care of them very well" l said.
"Oh thank you thank you l will just get my keys" she went to the kitchen to look for her keys l guess so l took that as my cue and went to Josh.
"Hey buddy remember me don't you? Ah you don't look so happy let me guess bad dreams right? Oh well guess what hun later l will take you to the park oh where's your leash?" He glared at me and l raised my eye brows like what are you going to do about it huh?
Susan came from the kitchen " oh you two are already getting along l see its natural people the same age to get along so fast l guess l got nothing to worry about anymore see you later my princes" she hugged both of them and surprisingly Josh wasn't embarrassed oh well l guess he isn't that disrespectful like l guessed.

It's been a solid one hour since their mom left and Ari was talking to Daren she's sort of good with the whole talking to kids thing and l just sat on the couch while scrolling through Instagram and glanced around and caught Josh staring at me from the other couch
"Whatcha looking at Jamal?" He flinched amd was clearly embarrassed.
"Oh didn't mean to stare" he said rubbing his neck.
"Don't blame you even l caught myself staring at me you know" and he just looked at me for a second trying to process what I just said and then started laughing l couldn't help and laugh as well.

*Next day*
"How are you planning to go to school today?" I said on the phone while shoving some bagels inside my mouth.
"Bus and you?" Ari asked from the other side of the phone.
"l will walk it's not that far so see you at school we got study hall together today right?" I shrugged even though she couldn't see me.
"Yeah see you in study hall then"
"Uh huh"

"Hey" l heard someone call me right when I reached school l turned to see where it came from.
"Hey googly eyes you were waiting for me?" It was josh. I smirked at him while wiggling my eyebrows.
" Yes and no mom told me to give this to you" he handed me a bag.
" What's this?" I asked as l took the bag.
"babysitting money and cookies she said wanted you to taste them and tell her if it's good" he shrugged.
"oh my thank you dude you are one lucky son" l was about to go when he called again
"Hey about yesterday-" he started
"yeah yeah l get it l will tease the shit out of you but not in school don't worry" l smiled and took off l turned a little to look at him and caught him blushing and playing with his hair l smiled at it and went to my locker.

I had chemistry class with Josh right now and after that l got study hall with Ari.
We had to pick new lab partners last year my partner was Emily but she graduated but Mrs.Flinch decided to choose our partners instead l really wish l don't get paired with someone ridiculous. Like l am not school smart so if l get paired with another idiot both of are grades long gone.
"And now for miss brooks you are partnered with.........."
