"......umm let's see yes miss brooks you are going to be partnered with Mr.Moon for this semester are we clear?" The teacher announced. Who the heck-
"Umm yeah sure but who is Mr Moon again?" I looked around to see if anyone without a lab partner was left but no Josh was paired with this guy Alex but that doesn't concern me. Like its not like l wanted him to be my partner or something. Yeah....
"Oh well it looks like Mr Moon is running lat-"
before she could finish a guy came running and blurted "Sorry l am late its my first day and I couldn't find my class sorry" he was out of breath.
"No worries Moon you are partnered with Brooks over here and Brooks make sure you give him a tour after school" Mrs. Flinch said.
"But l have to go to the library" l whined.
"You can go after am l clear enough?" I nodded and rolled my eyes when she wasn't looking.
At some point l caught Josh glaring at 'Mr.Moon' do they know each other or something? Maybe who knows.
"I am Carter by the way Carter Moon and you are?"he held out his hand for a handshake l suppose.
"Ashley,Ashley Brooks" l took he's hand and shook it.
"Looks like we are partnered for the entire semester" he said looking at me
"Yeah karma's a bitch"l shrugged.
"More like destiny"he smirked.
"Nah definitely karma"l said yawning.

"So what do you have now?" Carter asked while we were down the halls after chem.
"Study hall" l said.
"Oh cool l have math, sucks" he rolled his eyes
"hey can l walk you to the locker?"he said smiling not smirking but smiling God l didn't know boys could smile.
And before l could say anything Josh came out of nowhere and and put his arm around my shoulder and said "No need l can walk her" he said glaring at Carter.
"Whoa sorry dude l didn't know she had a boyfriend no need to get so protective" Carter chuckled. What's funny?
"He's not my-"
"Well now you know so you can go now" Josh glared at that guy. If looks could kill he would be 10 feet under.
As soon as Carter left l asked Josh "Wanna explain something?"
"About that so do you mind hanging out with me tonight?"He asked impatiently.
"What? Is the popular boy asking me to hang out with him or my ears are not working properly" l teased him.
"Oh come on Ash yeah lm asking you out hang out with me?" He asked playing with his hair.
"Hang out like friends?" I teased him again.
"No like a date actually" He blushed slightly.
"Huh a date? What do you have in mind?" I teased again.
"Surprise so l will pick you up?" He smiled sheepishly.
" well duh Sherlock Holmes or how else am l supposed to get there" l said smiling and rolling my eyes.
He smiled and the bell rang " Well see you later Ash"

"Hey honey how was school today?" Mom asks right after l opened the front door like mum let me breathe at first.
"Same as usual shitty but l got a date today so lm going to have dinner outside" l said as l threw my backpack on the couch.
"Date? My baby girl is growing up what's his name?"she asks while pretending to wipe a fake tear.
"Umm Josh? Rings a bell?" I said.
"Susan's son?Oh my lord my goodness l am so proud of you sweetheart-"
"Mom you know its not first date right? Why are you reacting so much" l laughed. I still can't understand why parents get so excited when their kids get dates.
"I just have a good feeling about this one"she winked.
"Well whatever lm going to take a nap school's got me fucked-"
"Hey! Language!" She glared at me.
"School got me fricked up" l say rolling my eyes and before my mom can say anything about my attitude l make my way towards my room and jump on my bed and fall asleep.
"ASHLEY!!! Wake your ass up" l open my eyes to see Ari shaking me to death.
"Whao woman language! Since when do you cuss?" I laughed.
Sh looks so shocked as if l just said Emma Watson is my mother "YOU JERK FOR YOU IM BEGINNING TO CUSS OH YOUU"
"Calm down do need holy water now or what" l said still laughing
"Shut up it's not funny AND HELLO? YOU HAVE A DATE TODAY AND YOU ARE NOT READY WHEN DID JOSH SAY HE'S PICKING YOU UP?" She rambled.
"How did you- oh wait l texted you yeah lm still processing l just woke up and he's supposed to pick me up at 6 what time is it?" I asked and yawned.
"ITS LIKE 5:30 OH WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU DIDNT HAVE ME??" She asked dramatically.
"Arrive on my date late?" I chuckled.
She looked at me trying to figure out what the fuck was l saying "Well nevermind that are you excited your dream is about to come true" she wiggled her eyebrows at me.
I got up and started combining my hair "It wasn't a dream just a silly little middle school crush" l roll my eyes.
"You were crazy about him like you literally stalked him" she rolled her eyes.
"Chill that was like in 5th grade and only lasted a year and sure l still like him a little and he's hot hot but it's just a date"......... right? Yeah obviously just a date just a date get hold of yourself Ash!
