Chapter 3 - The 104th Training Corps

Y/n POV:

"I'm gonna miss you dad! Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself. I learned from the best. I'll visit you when I have the chance" I said my goodbyes feeling both excited and a bit nervous 'Cause it's been some time since I last went above ground. "Be careful. And you already know what to do when you're in trouble. Be careful not to expose yourself." dad said hugging me.'Of course dad' I told him telepathically.

*Mini time skip: (while you were travelling)

'Everybody's got a secret.
Everybody lied under oath.
Everybody's been deceived to and can recall what it is like to be expected to trust in something in order to preserve or live their own lives the as they do. I felt like this, too, but it was temporary. I feel really hurt when the people I trust don't trust me back, because I gave them all my effort, but they don't even cherish it.' I thought to myself. I have to work hard to reach my goal. I have trained for years and I can't let all that effort be in vain. I have to be successful!!

*Mini time skip: (opening ceremony at the training corps) *

'Well, I'll be joining the survey corps 3 years after this' I said to myself.

When I arrived, I quickly took my bags to the barracks, setting up my bed, and prepare my things. I went to the opening ceremony after getting ready.

The instructor, Keith Shadis keeps on yelling at the cadets trying to intimidate, scare and make us feel useless. But it didn't affect me of course.

As he passed by the rows, I noticed he was skipping a few cadets. 'I wonder if he will pass by me' I thought as he walked closer down to my row.

I stood there with confidence, trying to maintain my posture. As he finished yelling at the other cadets, he walked and then observed me and began to shout.

"Who are you? Why are you here?!"

I was slightly frightened 'cause I didn't expect him to interrogate me.

I saluted to the man in front of me and answered seriously, "My name is Violet Sier Manker! I am from a village in Shiganshina! I'm here because I want to help ensure humanity's future!"

"Is that so? Well, we'll see whether or not you're as good as you think, or you are just titan bait!" he said

*Time skip to dinner*

We didn't do much today other than the opening ceremony. The official start of training is tomorrow morning. After the ceremony, we went back to our rooms to continue unpacking. I had a roommate named Annie Leon Hart. We talked for a while and thought she was kind of a lone wolf like me, we became close. She introduced me to her other friends, Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Hoover. I knew they could be trusted using my instincts. I also knew who they really are. We talked about each other's secrets, know, they know who I really am and vice versa. Reiner was now my big brother, Annie was my best friend, and Bertholdt was like an overprotective younger brother.

And BTW, Reiner and Bertholdt lived in the room right across from me and Annie's.

I'm not usually a show-off but I'm guessing some cadets here are weakling. 'I can't wait to beat their asses tomorrow'.

I went to the Mess Hall to get dinner, 'the food didn't look that good, well I have to get used to it. I've had worse in the underground anyway...' I mumbled.

I looked around and found the table where Annie, Reiner, and Bertholdt were sitting and decided to join them. Since they are my friends and the only people I trust.

I used my senses and heard people coming towards our table. I turned around to face a group of cadets looking. They sat at our table and a boy named Jean was beside me. He smiled seductively and flirts a lot which irritated and reminded me of the time when I was almost raped and Levi was the one that saved me.

I mentally face palmed my self 'uhh! I can't believe I remembered that. No matter how hard I try, the past can't be buried forever. People will know about the real me, and I can't let that happen. I'll just make sure everything will look like a coincident.'

I looked at him coldly, I flickered my head a little and made him choke while drinking tea. I almost lost my control, good thing my alter ego, Esme, stopped me in time. 'Y/n! Stop! you'll kill him! You'll expose yourself!' I snapped back into reality and realized what I was doing. I immediately stopped and acted as if what happened was not related to you. I felt sorry for him. We had small talk for a while but we weren't friends. A few minutes passed by and we went back to our rooms.

Before we slept, Annie and I had a small talk about our plans because we trusted each other and make sure we don't accidentally hurt the other.

"I'm gonna sleep, good night Annie!" I said, "Good night Y/n, Violet I mean" she responded.

Y/n: 'Good night dad!' I told my dad to use my powers.

Kenny: 'Good night brat! Show them what you are made of tomorrow. And please, avoid Levi as much as possible'

Y/n: 'That would be a bit hard to do since he's gonna be there during training.'

Kenny: 'Okay, now sleep. You have a big day ahead.'

*During midnight*

Y/n POV:

I can't sleep. I have had insomnia since the day Levi, Isabel, and Farlan left me while sleeping. I find it hard to sleep without dad.

So, I went out and climbed a tree near the training ground. I hummed myself to sleep with a cool wind breeze gushing through your clothes for it was the only way to get me to sleep even if it's just a few hours.
