Poisoned

Ryder's POV
I woke up 6 in the morning, got dressed and went down stairs to get my and the pups' breakfast ready. Hmm...It's strange that the pups haven't come yet...they're usually here by now. I wonder what's the reason. As I'm about to step outside the lookout, my pup-pad starts ringing. Great...early morning emergency. When I take out my pup-pad, I saw that.. Chase was calling me.

"Chase? Why are you calling me? Are you okay?" I asked him being confused. "Ryder! You need to come here!" Chase said in a worried tone. It was almost like he was screaming. "Woah Chase, is everything okay?" I asked him being a little worried. "Ryder! You need to come here now! It's Zuma! HURRY!!!" As Chase screamed, I ran outside the lookout, and saw the pups all gathered around Zuma's pup house.

Chase's POV 

I was having an amazing dream but it got interrupted by the sound of the pups. I looked outside of my pup house and I saw that no one was in their houses. I looked to my left and saw all the pups gathered around... Zuma's pup house??? 

At first I thought they were just talking about something exciting. But from the looks on their faces, it didn't seem that way. I was so confused, they all looked worried. "what's going on?" I said to myself. I got up from my bed, and went to check it out myself.

"Chase!!!" Rocky called out my name. "What's going on pups?" "It's Zuma, he's not waking up!" Skye said being worried.  "What???" I got really scared. I couldn't think of anything, so without wasting any time, I pup tagged Ryder.

Ryder's POV

Honestly I kind of got scared. I rushed towards his pup house and saw Zuma lying there motionless. Me and the pups tried shaking him and all possible ways of waking him up, but no luck! I turned around and saw Marshall running towards us with his EMT gear. "Step aside pups. I have to check on Zuma." He came and started examining him. He was confused at first, but then his face turned to an expression that clearly meant 'Bad News'. "M-Marshall?" I asked. "Z-Zuma... has b-been...p-p-p....poisoned."

I just froze. I couldn't believe this was actually happening, but I knew we had no time to waste. "Marshall! Ambulance! HURRY!!!" I screamed as Marshall ran to get his ambulance. I quickly put Zuma in the ambulance and hopped on my ATV, and we rushed to the hospital. 

On our way to the hospital, a bunch of thoughts were circling around my head. 'How did it happen?' 'Who could've done this?' 'Is Zuma going to be alright?' But the thought that bothered me the most was 'Was it one of the pups who did this?' No! I know my pups, they would never do such a thing! But right now I've got to focus. I really hope everything's going to be alright.
