I'm running. Running as fast as I can. I hear the church bell ringing. I can hear the guards, behind me, chasing me. I need to lose them. There is a building in front of me. I charge towards it and run up. Luckily, I find a windowsill, grab it, and start climbing. Nimbly, I reach the top in less than a second. Once again, I'm running. The roof tiles begin to slide and fall off the building, crashing onto the pavement below. Damn, I think to myself. As I continue on my way, I notice that this building is ending and another one is coming up.
I start to run faster, sprinting across the rooftop. Just before the roof ends, I lean forward, bend my legs and jump. I'm flying through the air and gracefully land onto the roof. As soon as my feet touch tile, I run again. Some people hear me above them and look up. What are people doing up this late at night?
To the right of me, I see a chimney sweep. He has a broom out and is bending over into the chimney. I inhale, stop in my tracks, change course and run towards him. Wait stop Rosa what are you doing? I ask myself, here are still guards coming after you.
I shake my head and continue on my original path. The end of this building is coming up and after, there's a cliff. I can make this. The church bell is still ringing. Going back and forth, back and forth. I keep on running. I hear one of the guard's behind me say "Sie go!" "Ha-ha" I laugh. If only they could see me.
My black cape is blowing in the breeze behind me. My black hood is threatening to slip off, but somehow it stays on. Almost there.
The sword at my side hits my right leg each time I step. For some, this would cause a bruise. But it doesn't bother me. I should be breathing heavily, I should be tired but I'm not. My mouth is shut. I'm evenly breathing through my nose. This is not what would be expected of someone. A normal person wouldn't be doing this, a normal person would be panting, short of breath, sore. But I'm not normal and never will be. I look ahead and start to sprint. Then, I close my eyes and fling myself off the building, plunging into the black water below.
