18. Hospital nights

Taehyun and Beomgyu rushed into the nearest hospital where Kang Dae was, they asked the nurse at the reception about his state.

"Mr Kang is in the operation theatre on the 2nd floor, you can wait outside theatre till the operation is successfully over" The nurse said before going back to her work.

Both the males thanked the nurse and went towards the operation room, Beomgyu looked towards Taehyun noticing how the younger was fidgeting with his fingers, Taehyun felt someone staring at him as he looked towards his right making eye contact with Beomgyu.

The eye contact didn't stay for long though, Taehyun broke it seconds after looking down at the floor "I'm scared" he admitted.

Beomgyu wasn't able to make out if the latter was trying to hold back tears because of the eye patch he was still wearing.

"You should remove that for now" Beomgyu said, Taehyun once again looked up at the older with a faint smile and removing the eye patch.

There were hardly anyone at the hospital just nurses walking around or hardly any patients coming out of their rooms since it was almost midnight, Taehyun removed his eye patch any which ways.

Beomgyu got a chance to look at the younger's eyes once again never getting enough of them, he loved those eyes so much, it showed so many things at once even though sometimes they looked dead, it always amazed him.

They reached the operation theatre taking sit at one of the nearest benches, Taehyun sat next to Beomgyu nervously.

Beomgyu noticed that and put an arm around Taehyun's shoulder pulling him closer and assuring him things are gonna be fine but still Taehyun couldn't help but imagine the worse.

His dad was there fighting for his life, he got shot twice!? Fucking twice!? and loss a huge amount of blood, how the fuck would everything be fine!? Nice talk Beomgyu.

Taehyun couldn't help but get irritated by Beomgyu's words but decided to stay quiet or else he might make things worse.

It was quiet for a few minutes till Taehyun decided to break the silence, "You should go, we have classes tomorrow" Taehyun said but Beomgyu decided to stay quiet and keep his head on the spoken male, taking it as a no.

"I don't want to skip classes" Taehyun spoke again this time Beomgyu replying.

"I don't want to go to the uni, I wanna stay here with you the entire time and I don't even think I can go home now and wake up at 7am for class" Beomgyu said ending with a chuckle, making Taehyun slightly chuckle, "I'll stay up, you can sleep if you like" Taehyun said leaning closer into Beomgyu's touch.

Beomgyu shook his head saying a no "I'll stay up with you" he said with a smile but few minutes later he noticed the one who said would be awake the entire time is now sleeping soundly.

Beomgyu slightly laughed, then lifted Taehyun placing his head on his own lap so the younger would be comfortable, he stared at the male looking oh soo ethereal his delicate face, soft skin, his fluffy blonde hair, his candied lips and the most adorable doe eyes, he admired them all one by one, his eyes going to his very pretty candied lips he wondered if they really tasted like candy his urge to kiss the younger grew but he restrained himself realizing what he was thinking, 'You're in a hospital for fuck's sake' he thought to himself.

his eyes started to get droopy he unlocked his phone checking the time and it was now 1:44am, it's been almost 2 hours since they have been waiting and Taehyun's still asleep on his lap, he decided to close his eyes for a few minutes to get some energy but ended up falling asleep, great choice Choi Beomgyu.

A while later Beomgyu woke up scared as he realized he fell asleep instead of staying awake, he looked at Taehyun noticing the male was now awake his head still on his lap and was on his phone texting someone, Taehyun looked up at Beomgyu.

"Oh you're awake, sorry i fell asleep on you" Taehyun said getting his head off Beomgyu's lap and now sitting properly next to him a slight blush on his face, "it's okay, you looked tried" Beomgyu said now checking his phone to see the time, it's 2:04am now.

Thank god he just fell asleep for 20 minutes and not an hour as he thought he did, he now looked at the younger noticing he was texting someone again but he chose not to ask about it since he didn't wanna seem nosy.

Taehyun then looked up from his phone nervously "Beomgyu.. it's been 2 hours now, i'm scared" Taehyun said as he clutched his phone tightly.

"What if something happene-" before the said male could complete his sentence the operation theatre opened the doctor coming to their way as they got up quickly from the bench, "Are you Mr.kang's family?" The doctor said pulling his mask down, Taehyun nodded "I'm his son" he said looking at the doctor impaitently.

"Your dad is alright, he's still unconscious and needs rest" The doctor said making both the males sigh in relief.

"Can we go meet him?" Taehyun said to which the doctor nodded and left, as soon as the doctor left Taehyun looked at Beomgyu with a smile on his face and hugged him to which Beomgyu blushed but hugged back.

"I'll go meet dad" Taehyun said breaking the hug to which Beomgyu nodded and ruffled his hair making Taehyun turn red.

The younger went to the room where his dad was now sleeping, noticing the bandages on his torso and right arm, he sadly looked at him.

"I'm sorry...appa" he said keeping his head down regreting all the times he cussed out at his dad and hated him but he doesn't understand what happpened to his dad that made him suddenly back to how he was, as if his dad found out something but what could it be?
