21. It's a secret

One month later...

Things have been getting better as time passes by, Taehyun is getting used to his new lifestyle now, it was kinda hard at first to process everything happening around him.

After his dad was discharged after 2 weeks of staying at the hospital, he's still recovering though, staying at home searching for jobs on his computer and trying to own up to his mistakes and be a better person as well as a better dad.

Taehyun decided to move in with Beomgyu as roommates since the brunette needed a good company in a 2bhk apartment it was quite lonely, both of them splitting the expenses.

Feelings were growing stronger living under the same roof, usually ending up cuddling on the couch while binging a certain series on Netflix or just weekend movie nights, eating all the three meals of the day together (Taehyun doing the cooking, of course), helping each other with weekly assignments and exams, all this happening but none of them knowing each other's feelings towards one another.

Beomgyu was running towards the younger's class to pick up the boy so they could walk home together but as he reached his destination, he noticed Taehyun and Kai having a conversation, both laughing together.

A month ago Taehyun and Kai became best friends and have been inseparable since and the brunette was more than happy to see Taehyun become more confident and comfortable with other people although he still wore his eye patch outdoors that doesn't stop him, it takes a while for insecurities to leave.

Curiosity took over Beomgyu as he walked a little more closer to eavesdrop their conversation hiding in the corner.

"So what are you planning to do?" He heard Kai ask.

"To be honest, I don't know"

"Well, I can come over and we can discuss then" Kai said.

"Yeah that sur-" Taehyun was cut off by Kai calling someone.

"Oh! Beomgyu hyung!" Kai said waving at the older.

'Fuck-' Beomgyu internally yelled to himself.

"Oh h-hey" Beomgyu awkwardly waved back.

"What are you doing here?" The younger asked.

"Ah- I came to pick up Taehyun so we could walk home together" The brunette said making the blonde slightly blush.

"O-Oh" Kai looked at Taehyun with a look the brunette couldn't make out but saw Taehyun hit him slightly on his arm.

"Well, I'm gonna leave now, enjoy!" Kai gave him them a cheeky smile walking away.

Beomgyu walked out the bathroom after taking a shower, rubbing his hair with the towel around his neck.

He walked in on Kai and Taehyun again talking about something or should I say someone, the brunette didn't even know when Kai came probably when he was taking his really long showers, curiosity took over him once again, hiding behind the nearest door trying to listen to their conversation.

"Hueningie, what do I do?" Taehyun asked.

"Just ask him out already" Kai said falling back on the sofa lying there.
