Ladybug & Cat Noir Identity Reveal

5 - Adrien / Chat Noir

Ladybug had seemed so deflated recently, and today was no different. She told him the plan, he would lure Mr Pigeon in with promises to go bird watching with him while she snuck up on him and destroyed the whistle. Everything was going to plan until she leapt towards the whistle, and was picked up by a bunch of pigeons and carried up high.

"Ladybug!" Chat Noir called. 

A bunch of pigeons slammed into his chest though, knocking him off his feet. Chat Noir sneezed as he hit the ground. "Ugh, I really hate pigeons."

"Chat Noir!" Ladybug screamed as the pigeons carrying her up dissipated, letting her fall through the air. 

"No!" Chat Noir yelled as he just managed to catch her, sending the two of them sprawling. 

"You okay Bugaboo?" he asked.

"I'll be better once we destroy that thing. This is the third time he's been akumatised this week!"

"I'm with you on that one, ACHOO!" Chat Noir sneezed again. 

Ladybug laughed, "I think it's time for a... Lucky Charm!" A bag of birdseed landed in her hand.

"No non-sense, I'm beginning to like your lucky charm more and more each time," Chat Noir said. 

Ladybug smiled, "I'm guessing I don't need to fill you in on the plan?"

"I think I can guess what comes next."

Ladybug used her yo-yo to pull herself up onto a nearby building as Chat Noir stayed on the ground. She taunted him a little, turning his attention to her, before launching the bag out into the air. 

Chat Noir extended his staff, cutting through the bag and sending the birdseed flying everywhere. The pigeons scattered, leaving Mr Pigeon to fall through the air where Chat Noir was waiting for him.

Chat Noir caught him and put him down while grabbing the bird whistle and slamming it onto the ground. Ladybug appeared beside him, de-evilising it and sending her miraculous ladybugs out to clean up the mess. 

"Pound it?" Chat Noir asked her.

She smiled, fist-bumping him. Mr Ramier stood up, bursting into tears as he realised, he'd lost his ability to fly and communicate with his pigeons again. 

They stayed there for a moment just catching their breath before Ladybug offered to take Mr Ramier back home. He declined the offer, walking off dejectedly by himself. 

Realising that they still had about five minutes before de-transforming, Chat Noir turned to Ladybug, "So how do you know Adrien, milady?"

"Oh uh, he's a...friend..." she stuttered, before turning the question back on him, "How do you know Marinette?"

"Oh we go way back, me and her, where like this," he entwined his fingers.

She rolled her eyes, "I'm sure. Look, I've got to go, I need to check on...someone."

Chat Noir watched dejectedly as she used her yo-yo to pull her up and away. She was heading back towards Marinette's house, and he didn't want her to feel like he was following her so he waited a moment, before using his staff to propel him forward. 

He landed in an alleyway and quickly detransformed, before running back in through the bakery and up to Marinette's room. She wasn't there though, so he waited a moment. 

"Adrien?" Marinette called, "Where are you? Are you okay?"

"Marinette, I'm up here! I'm fine."

She pushed into the room, "Oh thank goodness, did Mr Pigeon get you?" 

"Oh yeah, something like that."

Marinette smiled, "Well, hopefully now I can finally get on top of this physics exam."

The two of them worked for another two hours on physics and math, snacking on the plate of sandwiches and sweets Marinette's dad had made. They were really, really good, and Adrien even stashed a macaron in his pocket for Plagg to snack on. 

Once they were both satisfied, and exhausted, Marinette challenged him to a video game contest, and they had heaps of fun playing together, until it was time for Adrien to go home. 

For once, Adrien wasn't super devastated to be going back home. He'd had a really great day with Marinette and he hoped to do it again sometime.
