Despite the dangers, Ladybug had found her way back to him, telling him how she was worried about the others at the Eiffel tower.
He'd launched himself up onto a building, using his staff as a telescope to see what was happening. He sees them fighting, Hawkmoth batting at a yellow blur, while Kim lay unconscious on the floor. Pegasus was stumbling around too, while Mayura lay incapacitated on the ground. Queen Bee must have stung her, but it seemed King Monkey may have missed Hawkmoth, and disrupted Pegasus's powers instead.
Oh no... He was about to turn back to Ladybug, to let them know that their friends needed help, when something crashed into him, sending the two of them flying off the roof.
Chat Noir was able to kick his assailant off him, but not in time to slow his fall, and he hit the ground hard. In his dazed state, he tried to get up, but a foot planted itself on his chest, and he looked up to see Rena Rouge...wait no, Volpina standing over him.
"Over here!" she called, grinning down at him. He was beginning to really understand how Marinette could hate her so much.
Anansi and Stoneheart appeared, closing in on him. Volpina kept him down but he wasn't without allies.
He yelled, "Ladybug! Carapace! Rena Rouge!"
Volpina covered his mouth, "Don't you dare."
"Hey get your hands off my friend!" A green shield slammed into Volpina, knocking her back, but it was a little too late. Stoneheart grabbed Chat Noir and Carapace, taking off towards the Eiffel tower.
