Puella Magi Midori ☆ Magica - Deceit

Introduction

          Puella Magi Midori ☆ Magica - Deceit is a story inspired and set in the same universe as the anime Puella Magi Madoka ☆ Magica, prior to the events in the anime. It's written by Ned and Petals. (Links in account description).

          Haruka Kumiko is a magical girl in Northwest Ohio, who helps her family's bakery by day and hunts witches by night. One evening, a mysterious pigtailed stranger arrives at her bakery and seems to threaten Haruka's peaceful magical girl life. She eventually decides to confront this stranger in an attempt to keep the normality of her current lifestyle... and achieves a completely unexpected result. In this tale of two magical girls, will Haruka's life ever be the same as before?

         This book is part of the overall Midori Magica timeline, but is mostly stand-alone and can be read without reading the previous Midori Magica installments.

         There are universe-related spoilers for Madoka Magica, so if you ever plan on watching/reading it, then don't read this before. However, if you still want to read but you don't care about the spoilers, then we've tried our best to explain everything for those who don't know what's what in this universe. We have also included some mechanics that aren't canon to the Puella Magi universe, (to our knowledge) but we thought it would fit, as well as make things more interesting.

         Overall mature content warning: Mild crude language, violence, gore, themes of depression, death, and suicidal intentions. (A chapter-specific mature content warning will be at the beginning of every chapter.)
