Sometimes I forget how strong he is. "Alright, let's go."

We begin our trek down the hillside, avoiding flower and bushel patches. It's a twisted pathway imprinted in my heart. We travel this path almost daily, curving around patches of undergrowth. The path now looks similar to that of a deer trail. I'm sure animals use it as much as we do, the trail occasionally has hoofprints and small pawprints lingering in the open soil. Funny how me and Sugawara have been coming here long enough to create a trail of our own.
I lean my head on his shoulder once we reach the base of the hill. "I love you; you know that?"
"I do." Suga murmurs, shifting his head to gaze at me. Our eyes connect and flit away. "I Iove you too, ma chérie. Especially today." Has it already been two years?
The forest towers in front of us, full of vines, mosses, and bushels. We leave the peaceful hillside behind us. I spare it a final glance, imprinting the grassy incline in my mind before it disappears from view.
We traverse through the woods and step back onto the paved trail, our hands linked together underneath a summer sun. The clouds above us have darkened. Afternoon has begun to cool, transitioning into an evening tone hinted with a chance of rain. Ahead of us is another couple positioned by the familiar koi pond. They toss breadcrumbs to the waters, orange and white heads bubbling up to compete for the chance at an evening meal.
I nudge Sugawara, nodding my head in the direction of the pair. Looks like prayers do come true.
A brunette and a redhead huddle together before the pond. One man wears a beige trenchcoat and the other a black fedora over his red curls. They're bickering as they feed the fish, nudging and teasing one another. I'm not sure if they're dating, but they seem close regardless. I don't make any remarks as we pass by.
Once we reach the car, Suga opens the door for me, gesturing that I enter. I slide inside, buckling myself in. Sugawara hops in beside me and starts the car, shifting into drive and exiting the parking lot.
Suga rests his hand on my thigh as we traverse home. I turn on the radio, rotating through channels until I stumble across a familiar tune.
Hold on, wait a minute!
Sugawara begins to run his thumb along the inside edge of my leg. His fingers are warm and smooth, pressed against the fabric of my leggings.
Feel my heart's intention
He begins to dance his fingers higher, pressing closer to a place of concentrated heat. My heartbeat flushes in two places at once.
Hold on, wait a minute!
Then he stops, resting his fingers mere centimeters away from my hip.
I left my consciousness in the 6th dimension
I grit my teeth in silence, bearing the heavy heat that has begun to drip down my abdomen.
Left my soul in his vision
His fingers find rest there until we reach home. With a sly smile, he parks the car and turns it off. I struggle to collect my remaining strings of patience, reaching and missing, falling back down into a web of unsatiable want. I hop out of the car before he has the chance to open the door for me.
"What was that all about?" I almost dash to our doorway, on my toes, clinging to the warmth in my abdomen.
"What was what about?" Sugawara smirks and unlocks the front door, swinging it open. Something inside me crumbles to ash.
We step inside, Suga locking the door behind us with a gentle click. Within the private safety of the house, our hearts unravel as heated sparks fly between us. Smoke clouds my mind as I shoot Sugawara an understanding smile. He wants this as much as I do.
Sugawaraand I remove our shoes, resting them on top of the adjacent rug. He tugs me through the carpeted hall and I follow on lazy feet, not bothering to muffle my steps. We slide into his bedroom. As soon as we enter, Suga spreads himself out on the bed, letting his eyes flutter shut. I follow, curling up beside him. I don't shut my eyes, allowing my gaze to wander over his features.
Suga's silver hair has fallen over his forehead, his lips slightly parted. I gift myself a smile, pushing his hair out of the way as I gently press a kiss to the space granted. I rest my arm across his chest. The sound of his heartbeat echoes across my fingertips, pounding and strong.
"Sugar?" I murmur in his ear. His eyes draw open, a hazel connection that strikes a match against my ribcage.
"Yes, ma chérie?" He turns to face me, our bodies inches apart. The flame coaxes along my lungs, begging for gasoline to set it alight.
"Can we-" I pause, the question dripping with sensation, "-take this under the sheets?"
