Chapter 12

" I'm afraid Mr. Xiao, that you have to prepare yourself mentally for that " The doctors words repeated inside his head, Zhan's heart dropped with the words, he wasn't able to concentrate on his work as well, so he had decided to take a break for the day. He went to the park where he would usually go to clear his mind, but nothing seem to be helping him. All he wanted to do was shake Yibo up and tell him that he is the love of his love, we used to date each other, no! We love each other  but he couldn't do that, knowing well it would cause problems to Yibo, he decided against it, but lately it seemed like the only option within him. He sighed as he rested his head on the park bench looking up at the sky.

Yibo who was really excited to begin his day by learning some cooking skills back, so that he would start with cooking in his restaurant again. Though the plan was to meet Zhan at late evening, he couldn't sit still and not learn some basics by himself. " So we have to fasten it here ! " Yibo nodded his head as he was learning the professional way to cut vegetables by looking in some YouTube videos.

Yibo was really excited, but that didn't last long as his head ache was back, he screamed loud as this was the biggest headache yet. But the headache wasn't the only thing he felt, along with it came a memory which had been forgotten by him, Yibo wasn't able to look into it properly due to the immense pain, but all he saw, he had kissed a man in a very romantic manner, even before he could see the face he had fainted. His mother who was in another room heard Yibo scream and ran to him, she was shocked to see a fainted Yibo.

" Yibo! YIBO! Wake up, Yibo ! " he shook him up, but he wasn't waking up, she gently lift him up and made him rest on his bed and called Paul " Paul! Yibo has fainted again " Paul nodded his head as he panicked, ending the call he drove straight home.

A few hours later...

Yibo blinked his eyes open as the strong light hit his face, he looked around the room to fid himself on his bed again, he sighed knowing the reason, he really felt bad, not for himself but for the people who have to deal this along with him, he sighed once again in attempts to get out of the bed, but Paul who was leaning on the bed asleep had now woke up due to Yibo shuffling on the bed, he groaned as he opened his eyes, Yibo looked at him and smiled " How are you feeling now ? " Paul questioned, Yibo nodded his head. 

At that exact moment he remembered the memory he had got back due to the head ache, he wanted to ask Paul about who the guy was and why did he kiss him, but Yibo thought Paul might not know who he was, as he himself didn't see the face of the guy. He decided it was not a great idea to ask Paul about it. " Paul-ge you should go back to work, I'm perfectly fine now " Yibo smiled but Paul sighed "Yibo, I know you are fine, but hear me out, try to jog through your memory to get it back, the reports came back and Dr. Lee said that your temporary memory loss is becoming more of a permanent one " 

Yibo sighed it wasn't like he was not trying, he did but every time he did he would end up getting those excoriating pain in the head and would faint, it was like no one understood what he was going through, he got up off his bed and without any further words went out of his room. Paul on the other hand was worried for Yibo, more than that he was worried for Zhan. " I know you fell for Yibo, but I can't see you get hurt as well, why did you have to choose him, but when the options were my brother or my love, I think I choose my brother " Paul sighed thinking over his words.

It was no secret that Paul had always been in love with Zhan and still did, but when he realized that his little brother was the one who Zhan liked and Yibo liked him as well, Paul decided to not reveal his love for Zhan, he kept it inside himself so that no one other than him got hurt. It was true that he didn't like seeing Yibo in pain, but he also didn't like it when Zhan was in pain as well. He sighed as he rested his head on the bed thinking where it had gone wrong and hat turn of events had bought Yibo and Zhan to this point.

Yibo was out of his house to take a walk outside, he didn't like it when everyone around him was treating him as though he was a patient, he was someone who had got hurt, but that didn't mean for everyone around him to behave in weird way. Yibo sighed, with hands in his pocket he walked around with no idea where to go, he aimlessly roamed around, until his legs had unknowingly dragged him to Zhan's shop, he stopped as he was surprised that he walked without knowing himself. " Why am I here ? " Yibo questioned.

Since he was there he decided to go in. " Hello sir welcome to Moon Bakes " Yibo even though was greeted by a sweet voice, he recognized it wasn't that of Zhan, he looked around but realized Zhan wasn't there in the shop, the lady in the counter looked at Yibo and giggled " Zhan had taken a day off, if you want I can give you his apartments address " she smiled as Yibo looked at her, Yibo thought about it but decided against it since it would be wrong to get an address without the owners permission " umm... It's alright, I'll meet him tomorrow ".

Yibo stepped out of the shop, he sighed since he felt as though talking to Zhan would make him happy, but he was disappointed not to have met him today. After taking two steps, he stopped, he walked back to the shop " Excuse me, Can I please have Zhan's address ? " Yibo asked the lady at the counter, to which she happily nodded her head writing the address in a piece of paper. Yibo thanked her and immediately stepped out of the shop. 

He looked at the paper and recognized it as he knew that the place was not far away from the shop, he smiled looking at the paper and walked briskly with his head high, Yibo once again stopped in front of a shop and looked at it, " Should I buy some coffee for the two of us ? " he questioned himself, even before he had made his mind, he was buying the coffee already for the two of them, he happily walked to Zhan's apartment. " For some reason I fee as though I've done this before " Yibo who still was questioning what he was doing felt all this feelings to be oddly warm and familiar, as though he had done this before, either way he shrugged his shoulder and walked to the apartment. Looking around the floors inside the apartment, he checked the door number twice before knocking on the door.

Before the door was being opened Yibo adjusted his hair and that exact moment Zhan had opened the door, it was as though the time had stopped for both of them while Zhan and Yibo looked each other straight in the eyes, tears rolled down Yibo's face, while Zhan stood frozen. Noticing the coffee cups in his hand, Zhan had nothing else but a happy smile on his face, there was no words said , but felt as though they had exchanged thousand words between them.
