Nixie Cage

I can’t believe that I actually planned to kiss him. I was getting attached to a person that had no intention of falling through with an act such as that one. He was tied down by that Maureen girl, and he probably won’t let her go anytime soon. Because of this, my exit was pretty reasonable considering the situation.

Currently, I was walking down the pavement as the rain splashed onto my jeans, not like when you just accidently step in a puddle. No. It’s like when a moving car splashes water onto the people who was stupid enough to stand on the curb. The jean material was sticking to the bone of my ankle, making it a bit hard to walk in this condition.

My phone suddenly went off, carrying the Katy Perry’s Birthday tone through the pitter patter of the rain against the bus stop’s cover. I slipped the phone into my hand, noticing an unknown number that startled me.

“Hello?”

“Hey Nixie. It’s Zayn,”

Zayn? How did he get my number? “Yeah, hi…”

“You are worried how I got your number, aren’t you?”

I didn’t say anything. He read my mind.

“Well, I got it from your mum. I went by your house to pick you up for the pier, but she told me you weren’t there. Then she gave me your number.”

Mum. Really? “I was on my way to the pier, but I ran into someone,”

“Good, don’t go. We are going to the arcade instead,”

“Arcade?”

“Yeah, I’ll send you the address. See ya there,” And with that, he hung up the phone, leaving me to stuff it back into my pocket. Soon after that, Zayn followed through, and texted me the address to the place.

4443 Cramer Lane, London, England. It’s near the coffee shop. Five shops down.

Near the coffee shop? That means, I would have to take the metro back to Wales. Alone. I didn’t want to be alone to think about the only thing that was rambling in my mind.

Harry Styles and those annoying pink lips.

“Hey! Nixie’s here!”

The arcade was bustling. Kids running around trying to find their favorite games to spend the last of their promised change from their parents. Neon lights lit up the atmosphere, lighting up my eyes as I walked closer to the loud party that contained only three faces I could distinguish from the rest of excited, grunge teens.

Zayn welcomed me over, opening his arms up to his vast and diverse group of friends. Louis was sitting across from Zayn beside two twin girls who sat completely different. They had their own identity, which was pretty cool. “Everyone, this is Nixie Cage. She’s going to be a new addition to our team,”

One of the twin girls patted the seat beside her, motioning me to come closer to her with a slight smirk plastered on her freshly-glossed lips. “Hey, Nix. I’m Lauren,” Her hands met her collarbone as she flipped the long brown hair that sat on her chest off her shoulders.

“Hi there,” I managed to say.

“And this is my twin sister, Luna,” Luna waved to me, tilting her cup of orange soda in the air. Her wrists were covered in bracelets as they slid down her arm to her elbow. Her hair was shorter than her sisters and the ends were dipped in light brown hair dye. For some reason, they looked the same, but I could easily tell them apart.
