Izuku POV
I woke up slowly. I felt a heavy weight on my chest that caused my breath to catch. I let out a groan in pain. "What the hell?" I whispered. As I spoke, I felt an oxygen mask strapped to my face. I clumsily pulled it off, letting it fall to the ground. "Another hospital. Great." I look down to my arms and see an IV. I frantically pull it out. No way in hell am I letting needles near me! I rip off the cords attached to me and hear the heart monitor flat line. I shrug it off and stumble off of the bed. I take a step forward and have to catch myself on the bed. "What happened?" I groan, not necessarily talking to anyone.
I hear shuffling and shouting outside the door. I panic a bit and qickly make my way into the bathroom. I shut and lock the door right as the new people burst in.
"Where did he go?!"
"How should I know? We all went to get food!"
"Shut up loud mouth!" I sigh, realizing who the people were. I open the door and walk out, gripping the door frame as support.
"Y-you guys are really l-loud, you know that?" My voice is raspy, like it hasn't been used in a few days.
"Izuku!" Bakugo reaches out for me. I take a step forward and stumble. He catches me in his arms. "You nerd, you shouldn't be out of bed." I chuckled softly and it turns into a coughing fit. I hold a hand to my mouth. I pull it away and see blood.
"That's not good." I say quietly. Bakugo looks at me with a worried face and sets me on the bed.
"Hey little listener. How do you feel?" Zashi leans in and gives me a small squeeze.
"I'm fine. That one wasn't as bad as the others." I pause thinking back on the event. "M-my scalp felt w-weird when it happened. Th-that has n-never happened before." Their faces drop a little. I cock my head to the side. "Wh-what's wrong?"
"Well-"
The door busted open. Doctors poured in looking panicked. Zawa was behind them. "Izuku!" He ran over. His arm was in a black cast. Of course he picked black. I smile a bit.
"H-hi dad." He gives me a tight one armed hug.
"What the hell? Where did you go?" I pointed to the bathroom. "Oh." He chuckled a little bit.
The doctors soon swarmed me trying to reattach the cords. "W-wait." I protested, they didn't listen. "Wait please, I d-don't want the needles." They continued, still ignoring me. "I said wait!" A burst of energy pushed the doctors a few steps back from the bed. My eyes widened. "I-i-i'm s-so sorry. I-i didn't-"
"Izuku, it's not your fault." Aizawa glared at the doctors. "He said no needles." They backed away and started to file out of the room. As they did, a different doctor walked in holding some files.
"Hello Izuku! Happy to see you're awake. Feeling good?" He asked with a smile. I think this is the doctor that helped me the first time. I nodded. "Good. Well, I have a few things to catch you up on."
The doctor proceeded to tall me about my new quirk, Gravity control. My eyes dropped to the floor. Great. That makes seven. I'm even more of a weapon now. I felt a hand on my back. Kacchan. I smiled at him. He grabbed my hand as the doctor kept talking. He told me I had been asleep for a few days and that everyone expected me to stay asleep for at least a week.
"But knowing you, I wasn't surprised to hear you had woken up in just a few days." I gave him a small laugh. "I'm not going to let you scare me twice young man." Dad and Pap were smiling at me. I gave them a smile back. He closed his clipboard and looked at me again. "Well kid, how are you liking the new hair?"
