Cheer Practice

*At cheer practice*
Kate runs up to me. She says "hi Lila!" I say hey Kate!" Kate says "and who is she?" I say "Elena!" Elena says "hi." I say "we are gonna stick together if one isn't on the team then neither of us are." Kate says "ok well let's get going." We start pratice. I see Kate and two other girls eyeing us to see how we are doing. Kate says "alright girls you all have done great so far! No I'm going to introduce the co captains. This is Lacey and this is Tallia!" We all shake our heads. Tallia say "At this point in time we are gonna take a water and bathroom break and then start up the flips!" Elena taps my shoulder. She whispers "I can't do them." I say Elena I can help with that but you got to be willing to go at it like crazy and you can get them all down in a month. Or even maybe a few days. For now the walk overs." Elena says "thank you." We get a drink and then I start helping her. After a few minutes she does the front walkover by herself. I say "oh my god you did it!" Elena says "ok ok now the back!" I say "ok do a back bend and I'll put my hand under your back and you push off with your legs." We do that a few times. She say "ok Lila I wanna try it alone." I shake my head in agreeance. She does it. I say "oh my god Elena you just learned two things in 15 minutes." Elena says "so Lila!?" I say "ya!" Elena says "how long will it take me to learn the others?" I say "two weeks!" Elena runs and does a front walk over. Kate says "alright bring it in." We all walk over. Kate says "ok time for walk overs and flips. Now spread out and do them." Me and Elena go to one corner of the gym and she does the walkovers. I do a couple flips and walkovers. Elena says "woah I wanna do that!". I smile I say ok come here. I say ima keep my hand at your back the whole time. You have to jump as hi as you can and throw your hands back for power. Scrunch up in a ball like form until your done with you full spin and land on your feet." Elena walks over. I help her by pushing her legs to give a lol power. We do that a few times. I say "ok put a little more power in your arms." Elena says "ok!" We do it again and again multiple times. I say "ok let me grab a mat." I grab a mat and put it behind her. I say "Ok do it." Elena does the back flip but she lands on her knees. I say "ok try jumping higher with more power like this!" I do a back flip. Elena say "ok I will!" She does it again and lands it. She does it a few more times and lands all but one. I say "I think you got it now do a front flip." She does one and lands it. She says "woah how'd I do that one without practice!?" I say "Elena you got practice when doing the back." She does a front flip then a back. I say "your one quick learner." She smiles and hugs me. I hug her back. She says "thank you so much Lila! It really means a lot to me!" I say "your welcome!". Lacey yells alright gather around we have chosen who's gonna be on the cheer squad!"
Kate says I chose "Lila, Justice, and Melody." Lacey says "I chose Stacey, Carrie, and Caroline. " Tallia says and I chose Raquel, Giselle, and Elena. Kate says "welcome to the team girls come see me so I can get your sizes." Some girl walks up to Elena and says "bitch you shouldn't be on the team I should." I walk over and say "hey I don't know who you are but back off she was working really hardback there she deserves it." The girl says "whatever." She walks away. Elena says "I uh they hate me." I say "no come on let's go give our sizes." She shakes her head yes and we give Kate our sizes. We go grab our bags and I say "hey Elena here's my number." Elena says "thank you Lila!" I shake my head yes and we leave the school...
