The whole school saw the kiss, some people were dumb enough to record it. Melanie just stood there her eyes narrowed at me as I thought yeah bitch I stole your boyfriend but there was a high chance my dad would see it and kick Dakota out of the gang..

Melanie smirked, as if she knew what i was thinking and quickly sent the video to my dad. Some ex best friend she was, and I never hated her until 6th grade when I caught her with my crush, who ironically asked me out an hour after being with Melanie. I said yes and from that day on Melanie was a selfish coldhearted bitch to me.

I snapped out of my thoughts, already on high alert and grabbed Melanie's phone, searching for the video so I could delete it off her phone and unsend it to my dad.

"Scarlet it's okay, let me get kicked out of the gang." Dakota says with sad eyes and a sad smile.

"No Dakota..." I say and he raises an eyebrow, expecting me to tell him why

"I love you," I blurt out and everyone gasps even Melanie

"Let me talk to your dad because I want to be with you." He says grabbing my hand.

After school, Melanie stops me in my tracks giving me no escape route from her, she's got me cornered.

"First, it was Jack, and now Dakota." She says in a condescending voice. I try and get out of school before she can touch me but I'm too late. Her hand pulls my hair hard, making me wince at the pain, and then she punches me, ultimately giving me a bloody nose. Once she is satisfied with what she did to me she smirks and whispers "stay away from Dakota or it'll be more than a bloody nose."

Once I arrive at the gang house, Dakota finds me like a wolf finds their mate. The first thing he does is look at me and raises an eyebrow.

"What the hell happened to you?" He asks already getting mad at the person who did this.

"Melanie attacked me on my way out of school..." that's all I have to say before he goes to a punching bag and punches it hard.

"Nobody, touches my Scarlet" he says to the punching bag and turns to me "why did she do this to you?"

"She claims that I stole you from her." I admit honestly

"Whatever, she's a bitch anyway." He says as he wets a cloth "let's get that cleaned up before your dad sees it."

Dakota's P.O.V ~

As I help Scarlet clean up her bloody nose, I can't help but notice that her cheeks are wet. I wipe her cheeks off and check her over, making sure that Melanie didn't do anything else to her.

"Okay, all finished." I smile seeing that pretty face again.

Dakota, I need new clothes" she says and points to her bag. As I rummage through her bag my hand feels something metal and pointed. I pull it out curiously and find that it's a cocaine pen.

"Um Scar," I start saying "have you been using this?" I twirl it in my fingers as I ask

"Dakota..." she says

"No, tell me the truth." I say walking closer to her. She looks embarrassed

"Yes, I found it when I went home and I was gonna turn it in to the police but the urge to grab it was so strong." She explains and I raise my hand up to stop her.

Scarlet's P.O.V ~

Dakota asked me if I was using a cocaine pen, once I said yes, he walked away...I tried to catch up to him but he didn't want to talk to me. I told Lillian, the next day everything that happened from Melanie beating me to almost a pulp to Dakota finding out that I've been using a cocaine pen to deal with my mother's death.

"What do you think Dakota is going to do?" She asks attentive to my situations...

"Probably ignore me for the rest of my existence..." I say honestly, Dakota has been ignoring me since yesterday...

"Get him back girl." Lillian starts fluffing my hair as she says it.

All my life I've been good but now, ohohoh I'm thinking what the hell
