I think about what Lillian said about getting Dakota back and I weigh the options, either get hurt by Melanie or be happy with Dakota. I don't know what to do, I like Dakota so much but my dad would never approve of a gang member dating me, unless Dakota made him change his mind.

I walk through the hallway at school, and suddenly I hear screaming. I drop everything and run toward the scream, when I get to the scream I see Melanie balling her eyes out, she notices me and gets up.

"You bitch." She says pointing at me "Dakota broke up with me and it could only be because of you." She criticizes, pushing me into a locker. Dakota must have scorpion sense because he pushed Melanie out of the way, and rescued me.

"Thanks Dakota," I say and he just gives me side eyes and walks away. "Are you mad at me or something?" I ask and he stops in his tracks.

"No Scarlet, why would I be mad at you?" He asks like he didn't just ignore me because of the cocaine pen.

"Because of the cocaine pen incident." I say looking up at him. He walks closer and holds my chin forcing me to look up at him.

"I was never mad at you about that, that's your decision to do something like that." He says genuinely, pushing my hair out of my face.

"Why did you break up with Melanie?" I ask bluntly

"She wasn't you Scarlet, and plus she's two faced." He confesses

"Oh." I say not knowing what to say, no matter what I say it's gonna hit me in the ass later.

I walk into the bathroom, pull out the cocaine pen and snort a little bit into my system. It instantly makes me happy and I walk back to Dakota kissing his cheek..

A little while later,  I feel extremely numb, like my body is stuck in maple syrup, my thoughts are racing, and I forget where I am..

Dakota's P.O.V ~

I'm going crazy cause I can't find Scarlet, last time I saw her, she was asking why I broke up with Melanie Parker, and it was because she only wanted to date me to get back at Scarlet.

I see Lillian walking up to me, with a worried look on her face and I automatically know that something happened to Scar because Lillian barely talks to me. 

"Dakota, she's drugged." Lillian says as she drags me to Scarlet. Scarlet now looks doe-eyed and stone faced.

"Scarlet, can you hear me?" I wave my hand in her face trying to see if she'll snap out of her daze.

Instead of snapping out of her daze,  she passes out and I catch her. 

"I'm calling her dad," I say to Lillian and pull out my phone to dial her dad's number, but Lillian swipes the phone out of my hand.

"Her mind is in Disturbia." Lillian says "which means that she can't talk,  feel,  or hear you. " She says

"Will I ever have my Scarlet back?" I ask Lillian and she immediately gasps

"I don't know, Dakota she's pretty fucked up." Lillian says "but is she really yours?" She says getting off topic

I carry Scarlet's limp body to my motorcycle and drive to a mental hospital. When I get there, I get off with Scarlet still in my arms, and the woman at the help desk looks at me with wide eyes.

"Um, can I help you?" She asks me and I nod

"Yes, my girlfriend's mind is in Disturbia." I finally admit it

The woman looks at Scarlet "she take anything?"

I don't know.." I say honestly, because I didn't know "but she had a cocaine pen in her bag yesterday."

"That'll do it," the woman says "let's get her checked in."

After we get Scar checked in at the mental hospital, the woman puts her in a room and hooks wires  to her hands and the front of her head.

Your mind is in Disturbia, it's like the darkness is the light, am I scaring you tonight?
