It's was six in the morning when I went to wake up my older sister, Sarah.
"Get ready for work Sarah." I said, pulling the blankets off of her.
"Leave me alone." Sarah mumbled. Jeez she's a lazy bum.
I walked down to the door, opened it and shout, "You do realize its six o'clock and if you don't get your arse out of bed you're going to make yourself late," slamming the door behind myself. I waited when I heard her moving around.
"Crap! I'm going to be late!" I heard her yell before she came racing out the door. I told you, you were going to be late. Tires screech as Sarah pulls out of the driveway, speeding down to Starbucks. It's where she works and I love when I get free caramel mocha lattes, my favorite.
I began my long walk to my school thinking about what I was going to do when I got there. Walking in the doors to Dixon High, I went to my locker. Welcome to the usual boring place I spend most of my days.
"Look who we have here boys." Marcus said leaning against the locker beside mine.
I never liked or paid attention to any of the guys in the school, especially Marcus Skeps and the other football jocks. In fact I've paid no attention to any guys in any of the schools I've been in.
"You shouldn't be all by yourself over here, something could happen to you." Marcus grinned and leaned closer to me as I slam my locker.
"You and your friends can go bother somebody else, I'm not interested in any one of you jocks nor will I ever be." I reply. Can't he just take the hint for once in his life?
I took a step away from him to head to my first class as he grabbed me by my arm, "you're not going anywhere darling," he told me. What the crap. He dragged me into an abandoned part of the school where no one ever goes. It was still under construction but the school had to stop construction because they didn't have enough money to pay the workers.
"Let go! You're hurting me!" I yell making him he dig his nails deeper into my skin.
Once I was tied to a chair Marcus began to tell me about his life and how every girl that he liked but was rejected by ended up dead by his hands. Every time I struggled to get out of the binds that bound me to the chair I was smacked or cut with some glass from broken bottles. By the time he was halfway through the stories I was crying, screaming, weak and almost unconscious. After what seemed like hours of unbearable pain a guy, I don't recall ever seeing around school, comes walking down the hallway wearing a black leather jacket and black jeans. His eyes looked like they were glowing a golden yellow.
"Step away from Kate." He spoke calmly, his eyes watching Marcus. How does he know my name?
"It's such a shame when a girl has to die." Marcus says as he raises a glass shard from the broken bottle, plunging it into the mysterious man's arm who was immediately in front of me. As Marcus went to move away he was grabbed.
"I will let you live if you leave Kate alone and if you don't I'll kill you without hesitation." The mysterious man spoke furiously as he let go of Marcus. When the man turned towards me to see if I was okay Marcus lunged at him in attempt to make a killing blow. Before I knew what was happening he broke Marcus's nose and arm. Marcus was screaming in pain while his friends rushed him towards the nurse's office. Once Marcus was long gone the man turned back to me, raking his eyes over my cut and bruised body for a short time before ripping the bindings off and taking me up into his arms. He looked around as if searching for something then went through an open window at the back of the school.
After walking a little ways through the forest to somewhere, blackness started to obscure my vision. I heard him say something that sounded like, "long time, no see my little mate". With those last words I met full isolation in blackness.

I open my heavy eyelids, yawning. "Where am I?" I sat up and took in my unknown but nonetheless beautiful surroundings. The room was painted an elegant lavender with a black painted tree in the corner of the room. I immediately rushed to my feet, pain rushing throughout my whole body. Oh crap. I silently walked to the door of the room, cracking it open to peek out. I got to get out of here. Wherever here is... Stepping out into the hallway, I began to tiptoe in the direction that I thought was the way out. Looking behind myself as I tiptoed i hit into something that felt like I just hit a brick wall.
"You're finally awake. How do you feel?" He asked politely.
"I feel like I just got hit by a bus." I groan as I walk into the room and sit on the bed.
"I bet, you took a beating from Marcus." He chuckled, sitting down next to me.
"Who are you and how did you know where I was?" I asked, curiosity getting the best of me.
"My name is Matthew Miles. I was born and raised here and I'm 21 years old. I am also an only child in my family."
"Nice to meet you Matthew, I'm Kate."
"It's a lovely name." Matthew replies smiling.
After a long silence it hit me that I had to get home. "Well I better get going, it was nice meeting you Matthew."
"It was nice meeting you too Kate." He said as he held open his front door, his eyes glowing dimly.
I took one step outside and realized where we were, my neighborhood. I looked to my left and saw my house right next to his and started to walk towards it getting chills up and down my spine. MY HOUSE. HE LIVES NEXT DOOR TO MY HOUSE. Once I got inside I locked the front door and went up to my room.
Freaking out I looked out the window at his house to find him staring at me from a window. Quickly locking the window I flopped down onto my bed. I must have been hallucinating.
I got up and looked around my room, finding Mathew standing in the corner, his golden eyes fixated on me. "Mathew? What are you doing in here?"
"I'm here to kill you." His face changed into a wolf's face before he lunged at me.
I sat up gasping. I was sweating as I tried to calm down. It was just a nightmare, a terrible nightmare. He's not actually in here. I thought to myself looking around my room, relieved to find that I was the only one in here.
