"What were you thinking?"

Tension was thick in the office of headmistress. Professor McGonagall sat on her chair glaring at Sybil Trelawney . On the other chairs sat Harry Potter, Clark Kent, Diana Prince. Barry Allen, John Jones, Zatara and Ginny Weasley.

"You endangered a student, while using an object of high risk and certainly not approved by the school. Do you have any idea of the trauma the boy would have suffered if we hadn't given him the potion of obliviation on time. You risked his whole sanity. "

"Oh I knew the risk, Minerva," Professor Trelawney said, " I was going to obliviate him myself but-"

" But you didn't, " Mcgonagall snapped, " If it hadn't been for the quick thinking of Brown, the boy would have been in a coma. And because he was already unconscious we had to obliviate him with the potion and that too as Madam Thompkins informs me was administered more than required. So now we have that to worry about too. Furthermore if the news of unauthorized use of the Opus Speculo reaches the ministry, it would lead to an investigation we cannot afford. The minister will have a field day when he gets his chance to open the investigation. Honestly, I cannot believe you would behave so irresponsibly."

" Professor " Harry spoke up, " I think you should hear what professor Trelawney has to say for herself.

Professor Mcgonagall gave him withering glance but fell silent.

Trelawney looked a little red in the face, " It had to be done. Ever since Lex Luther has taken over as minister of magic, he has done absolutely nothing to find Neville Longbottom or Luna Lovegood or Hermione Granger or the Weasleys or any of those missing people who had played a major role in the fight against Voldemort. " She shuddered at the name even after all these years. Taking a deep breath she continued in a more composed tone,"Opus speculo shows you what needs to be known by you in a relationship whether it is in past,present or future. I had hoped it would give us a clue about Bruce's or the others disappearance. And we got one too. "

She paused perhaps expecting reaction or just for the dramatic effect and continued, " I shared the boy's need to know what happened to Bruce Wayne and therefore I could share his vision too. I know that all those people taken are yet alive. I heard Neville screaming most likely in pain and Bruce's voice yelling at someone to stop " She shut her eyes as the haunting scream still echoed in her skull.

"Did you see the place where they are kept? Can you describe it?" Harry asked.

" Someplace dark and humid, with very little light.Since I was sharing the vision, it was not clear."

Her eyes flitted to the headmistress whose face looked little less like she was going to curse someone into become a rat. Finally she spoke with a sigh, " Though this information may prove useful it doesn't excuse your error. I do not approve your using a student as a means. The students of your class saw you sharing the vision. This will raise questions if and when we are investigated for the use of Opus Speculo. The rumours that so many people are missing has been kept a secret and no one but the people present in this room and the minister know, might get confirmed.

"I still do not agree that we should keep the fact hidden that so many people are missing." Barry Allen spoke up, " I mean it might speed up the investigation. People already know that Bruce is missing."

"If the news gets out that people from the wars are disappearing the mass panic and rumours will spiral out of control. It will not help anyone. " Clark said.

" Also Bruce is a prominent public figure. His absence would have been noticed and not only in the school." Ginny said, " And he was the first and the only person to go missing even though he was not in the war. "
