I'M LOSING MY MIND.
No matter where I go or am, there is always a picture of Axel getting hurt.
I won't forgive myself if something happens to him. I'm the reason he's in Italy alone.
"Mikayla, why didn't you tell me Alec Garcia was in Italy?" Cesar was right behind me as I walked down the hall to our hacker team.
I ignored him as I did for the past few hours since the call with Javier.
''Sabrina?'' I called one of my best hacker's names as I stormed into the room. All their heads turned to me and watched me as I walked up to Sabrina's desk.
''Did you find him?'' she nodded her head.
Right after the call with Javier, I called Sab and told her to hack into all the cameras in Sicily. She told me it will take her a few hours to go through all of them.
''At first, I found them on surveillance cameras downtown from where they were attacked. But I lost them once they decided to take another way where I couldn't track them with the cameras,'' she explained as she typed away on her computer.
''My last chance was to track them down by hacking into cameras that belong to restaurants,'' she said. I sat down next to her on an empty chair and waited for her to continue.
''Did you find them there?'' she nodded.
She smiled. ''That restaurant belongs to the De Luca family. They were hiding there,'' my brows furrowed.
''Were? Aren't they there anymore?'' she shook her head but with a smile still plastered to her face.
''The De Luca family came and got them and what looks like brought them to safety,''
A sigh of relief, escaped my mouth as I leaned back into the chair.
I thanked Sabrina and stood up, that's when I noticed Cesar was still there. He stared at me with a clenched jaw. I wasn't going to argue with him because I have many more important things to take care of so I walked past him without even looking at him again. ''Did something happen between you and Alec?''
I stopped in my tracks and huffed in annoyance.
With clenched fists, I turned around to face him. ''Do you only care about that?'' I hissed at him.
He stared at me with narrowed eyes as I slowly approached him with small steps. I lifted my finger and pointed at him. ''My son is in danger and the only thing you care about is Alec and me?'' once I stood in front of him, I pushed him with my hand.
