With a deafening crash of the glass windows, the heroes began their counter-attack. The mission was supposed to be simple and straightforward, but alas, life as a villain was never that easy. Startled, your pulse spiked at the sudden ambush. You frantically looked to your cohorts, who appeared to have the same panic written across their faces. None of you were anticipating the heroes' arrival, but you were adaptable. Gripping the handle of your blade, you charged for the nearest hero.
You swung, he jumped out of the way. You tried slashing at the young hero again, but he was too quick. You had to come up with a new strategy to compensate for his powerful quirk. As he swung his fist at you, you dropped for the floor. With both feet, you landed a strong kick to his chest that knocked him back. You pounced as soon as the opportunity presented itself, pinning the young hero to the ground. You placed your knee against his throat, your blade at the ready. Your breaths came out in ragged pants, but his seemed nowhere to be found. With silent fury behind your irises, you looked your opponent in the eye.
Izuku was rendered completely and utterly defenseless. He was not helpless because of your blade, but because of your eyes. The boy under you was convinced your eyes were the most beautiful color he had witnessed. You, the young woman mere moments away from taking his life, were the most gorgeous person he had ever seen. Strands of your hair littered the atmosphere around your face, painting dynamic streaks across your delicate skin. You looked like the goddesses depicted in renaissance paintings come to life, only more detailed and star-striking.
Izuku was certain he had never laid eyes on a creature so beautiful. His heart had tripped over its own feet, scrambling to get back up. You had cast a spell over him so incredibly enchanting, he wondered if it was your quirk at play. What else could possibly explain the ocean wave of emotions that crashed over his shores?
Your expression wavered, subtle cracks echoed through your facade of vengeful silence. The way he looked at you made you feel things. How disgusting. It felt as if the hero had reached behind your ribs to pluck at your heartstrings that were left covered in cobwebs. What had he done to you to make you hesitate in such a way?
Suddenly, you were painfully aware of your surroundings. You were supposed to be fighting, not staring at the freckled hero. You sent a fleeting glance to the mission leader. He was signaling for a retreat. You looked back at his deep green eyes. The boy was still, just as you were. You knew you had to escape while you had the chance, so you leaped to your feet. You sprinted in the direction of your villainy cohorts for an escape.
You followed your team out of the window, but in a lapse of judgment, you looked back over your shoulder. The young hero had gotten to his feet. Yet, he didn't try to stop you. For the life of you, you were unable to explain what you felt. Neither could he.
Little did you know, it was love at first sight. And you were both fucked.
