"Sit down and shut up," Shigaraki ordered to his cohorts. They all looked confused, yourself included. Nevertheless, you obeyed and gave your leader your attention. The lanky man held his arms behind him, a scowl deeply sat on his face.
"It's come to my attention there's a mole in The Leauge," Shigaraki announced soberly. Your heart skipped a beat. You were hoping to have more time before he caught on. You watched how the others' expressions cracked. They eyed each other, any trust they had in one another now abandoned.
"All of our recent plans have been foiled," Shigaraki reminded you all of a fact you already knew. "The heroes have been right on time as if they were called." You remained silent. Shigaraki looked at all the villains in the hideout, making eye contact with each one in turn. When he got to you, you met it calmly.
"Here's a warning," Shigaraki continued with intensity. "Once I find you--and I will... You'll die slowly and painfully. Understand?" You nodded your head, somehow maintaining a stoic expression through it all. Tension hung in the air until Shigaraki sulked off to his room. You only exhaled once you were in the confines of your own room, apart from the others. You felt the need to tell your hero contact about the development. That could make things worse.
It was a little difficult to make things worse than they already were. But Izuku felt he could probably add to that.
"Is something bothering you?" The young hero asked his mentor. Izuku noticed had All Might been stressed lately.
"There is," He admitted. Izuku could see whatever was on his mind was serious. He didn't want to pressure the man to share, but he would be lying if he said he wasn't curious.
"I suppose you should know," Yagi sighed. "There have been rumors that... that All For One has a child. Not like Shigaraki, but biological." Izuku thought it would be best if he pretended to be shocked. "He's done a damn good job of keeping it a secret for so long."
"They'd be about my age, wouldn't they?" Izuku asked, lightly treading.
"Or older," Yagi explained, somewhat frustrated. The last thing Yagi wanted was to go back to Tartarus in order to verify the rumors. Yet, he knew he ought to. The young hero furrowed his brows. He wondered what would happen to you if the heroes found you. They would lock you up in the same prison All For One was in, wouldn't they? Should Izuku tell his mentor he knows?
"Change of plans, (Y/n)," Shigaraki informed you. "You'll be going in alone." You nodded your head. The plan wouldn't be too different.
Swiftly, you knocked out the security cameras. You were lucky the research office was empty. You pulled out the hard drive and plugged it into the nearest computer. Hastily, you downloaded all the files that looked important.
You looked over your shoulder. The security footage had caught you enter through the window, you knew that much. It was only a matter of time before the security guards came rushing in. Restlessly, you watched the download bar slowly fill. You listened tentatively, just waiting for the sound of rapid footsteps. But the same never came.
You yanked the hard drive out of the computer and tucked it away. You slowly pushed the door open and poked your head out, looking both ways down the hall. That was when you heard the footsteps, from both sides of the hallway. There were more security guards than you anticipated, all of them armed.
"Stop right where you are!" One demanded. You rolled your eyes. Did they really think you were going to give up just like that? You bolted out of the room, bursting into the stairwell. You took the tether from your best, clipping it onto the stair railing. Just as the door to the stairwell opened, you jumped over the railing. You went falling down the unobstructed center of the square stairs, holding the tether with a gloved hand to stable yourself.
When you landed on the ground floor, you unclipped the tether from your belt. You made a run for the exit. The sound of a gun firing was almost as startling as the sudden burning pain you felt in your side. You almost fell to your knees at the pain. Toughing through it, you fled to the fire escape and into the outdoors. You clutched your side, trying to stop the bleeding.
