Silently, he crept down the dark hallway. He tip-toed, hoping his return from the bathroom wouldn't wake anybody up. It was long past curfew at Heights Alliance, all of his classmates were probably fast asleep. He slowly slipped into his dorm, quietly closing the door behind him. The lamp sitting on his desk flicked on.

"(Y/n)!" Izuku jumped out of his skin. You sat in the chair you had pulled out of his desk, waiting for him to return in the dark. The lamp hardly lit the room, but it was enough light to see. You held your side tightly, trying not to get any blood on his floor.

"How did you get in here?" He wondered, your presence nearly giving him a heart attack.

"You don't lock your windows," You pointed out all too calmly.

"But I don't live on the ground floor," He said skeptically, approaching you.

"Villains can climb," You stated casually, though your torso stung like fire. Izuku wondered how you managed to outsmart UA's security system, but forgot to ask when he noticed the bright side covering your hand.

"You're bleeding," Izuku came to kneel next to you. He placed his hand over yours, moving it away gently. He saw the wound right under your ribs. Your clothes were slightly torn, the bright red flesh under it having been lacerated. The wound didn't look too deep, but it looked painful as all hell.

"Were you shot?" Izuku asked, concern lacing his voice.

"It just grazed me," You clarified, trying to downplay your injuries. You hated admitting you were so careless as to get tagged, but you needed his help. The wound was in a position you could not tend to yourself and Izuku was one of the only people you trusted. He quickly grabbed the first aid kit he kept under his bed. You took off the protective gear that covered your torso, leaving you only in your bloodstained undershirt.

"Th-This might hurt," Izuku warned as he began to clean your injury. You found he was right. Very right. You hissed at the burning sensation that rippled through your open wound. When you looked down, you could tell by the look on his face that Izuku felt bad. However, he also knew the pain was necessary.

"What happened?" He asked, trying to get your mind off the countless unpleasant feelings you were experiencing.

"I was sent to steal information," You explained as if it was an everyday occurrence. "Records about people on the Hero Public Safety Commission. Addresses, medical history, things like that." Looking up at you, Izuku paused.

"Did you get it?" He asked curiously. You leaned down, wincing as you fetched the hard drive you stashed in your shoe. You tossed it onto Izuku's desk.

"Not anymore," You said with a small smirk, one he returned with a kind smile. That damn smile. He grabbed some clean bandages and began wrapping them around your waist. Now he was standing, standing so close to you. You looked away, your eyes locking onto the floor.

"Thank you," You mumbled.

"No need to," Izuku told you sincerely. "It's my job to help people." His hands were warm, softly dressing your wound in the kind way only he could. You began to notice your surroundings more, your eyes adjusting to the light level. You snickered.

"Wow," You remarked. "No wonder Shigaraki wants to burn this place to the ground." Your hatred for heroes was not nearly as strong as Shigaraki's. In fact, you didn't mind most of them. However, the All Might paraphernalia that covered his dorm room was offputting. You saw Izuku's face flush.

"It's--It's a lot I know!" He stuttered, thoroughly embarrassed. "I'm going to get rid of most of it soon! I-I just thought it'd be easier after graduation s-since I'd need to move out and pack everything up anyways!" You found his ramblings adorable, a soft smile appearing on your face. He cleaned up the mess the first aid kit had left behind.

While he was distracted, you tried to stand up, but a groan of discomfort gave you away. Izuku was quick to try and ease you back down.

"You should take it easy," He told you gently. "That's going to need time to heal." You resisted, moving his hands away from your shoulders. A frown had settled on your face.

"I don't have time," You stated bleakly. He grasped your upper arms, a serious look on his face.

"Then make some," He said firmly. "I don't want you to get hurt again." Like he was before, he was standing so close to you. You could feel the warmth radiating from his body, both the kind of warmth that you lacked on a winter's day and the kind of warmth you lacked from anyone you knew.

Bit by bit, you carefully reached up and placed a hand onto his cheek. You brought his face down to yours. It was rare for you to give in to such impulses. Ever since you were capable of understanding the concepts, your father hammered discipline and self-control into your mind. Yet, this was no action of the mind. Rather, it was an act of whatever was left of your heart.

There was a moment of catching your breath after, but as soon as it was possible, you kissed each other again. You forgot all about your injury, the feeling of his lips against yours too overwhelming. How could you possibly focus on anything else? His rough hands trailed from your upper arms to cradled your face.

"You should stay," Izuku muttered breathlessly.

"Okay," You whispered in return. He leaned down to kiss you again. His lips were soft and felt like they were made to fit against yours. The sensation was so foreign to you and before you could register what was happening you felt the comforting press of a mattress under your back. With Izuku above you, your hands drifted into his curly basil hair.
