Is This Supposed To Be Love?!

My mate stood in front of me, his eyes blazing with what I guess you could call love. Our wolves were pulling us together, ignoring any protests we may or may not have.

I found my hand, as if it had a mind of it's own, pulling his head down towards mine slowly. I would normally be freaking out in a situation like this. This guy busts through my wall in the middle of the night, I don't even know his name, and I'm about to kiss him. But, I reminded myself, this kind of relationship is... special. And beautifully indescribable.

It felt so familiar and comfortable to look into his eyes, and bring him closer. His body fit naturally with mine.

I was mere inches from his face, explosions of fireworks coursing through every inch of my body, when I heard my door slam open. Jenna stood in the doorway with a wild look in her eyes, with fire turning her golden eyes to red. She held a gun in her hands, and she shook all over.

"Get away from her. Now." Jenna said through gritted teeth.

"Well, well, well. Jennifer! You look... disheveled." My mate took a step between me and my sister, and I just stood frozen and in shock. Did they know each other? They seemed to.

"Shut up, and get the hell away from my sister." Jenna clenched the gun firmly in her hands, obviously ready to use it.

"But she's my mate, baby! You can't keep me away from her forever!" He sneered, all emotion I had seen before drained from his tone.

"Get away from her before I shoot you!" Jenna screamed. The gun must have held silver bullets. My heart told me that my sister wouldn't shoot my mate- she couldn't! But my eyes met hers, and I instantly knew she would.

"Both of you! Stop!" I screeched, stepping between the two bristling werewolves. They hadn't transformed yet, but much more of this and they would.

"But Alex, you don't understand-"

"No!" I growled, cutting off my sister. "I guess I don't understand, Jenna! But obviously you do! If you would be so kind as to explain what's going on here, I would LOVE IT!" I shouted, feeling my wolf fight to emerge.

Jenna's expression softened, and she lowered her gun slightly. "Alex, I'm sorry... I promised Dad..." Not Dad again. Another secret he's keeping from me.

"How sad." My mate fake-pouted. "Now, I hate to break this up," he made a weird hand motion towards me and my sister. "But my MATE and I have some catching up to do." He gave a smirk to my sister before promptly picking me up, slinging me over his shoulder, and carrying me out the new hole in the wall. I started banging my fists on his back uselessly, trying to ignore the tingles rushing through my body wherever we touched.

"Jenna!" I screamed. "Help me!!!" I was about to start crying. I wanted him to stop... whatever he was doing with me, and give me to my younger sister. I guess it was pretty pathetic that I needed my baby sister to protect me, but she had a gun and I had no defense against this guy who was practically a stranger.

I was terrified, and I could tell Jenna was too. Her eyes were still a dangerous shade of red, but she still made no move toward me or the man. We were getting further and further from my home, and I was getting more and more hysterical.

"Alex... I-" Jenna choked out. I stared hopefully into her eyes and saw a sadness there; she really couldn't shoot this guy. She probably would have, but the way the gun shifted uncomfortably in her unsure hands, I could tell she hadn't ever had to shoot it before. "I can't! What if I hit you?" Tears spilled over the rims of her eyelids, causing my eyes to do the same. I pounded on my mate's shoulder harder, screaming incoherent threats and indecipherable curses at him.

"Alex!" Jenna screamed over the chaos. By now neighbors were looking out their windows worriedly. "I'm sorry! I'll get Dad down here! We'll get you back!"

I was about to shout a reply, but I was plopped roughly into the back seat of a car, and the door was slammed shut.

"Nooo!!!!" I saw Jenna scream pitifully before crumbling to the ground in a sobbing mess.

"Jenna!" I screeched, slamming a curled fist on the window in hopes of breaking it.

"She can't hear you. I hope you know that." My mate said coolly, as if he hadn't just kidnapped me.

"Let me go!" I growled in the Alpha tone I never knew I could use.

"Sorry, sugar, but your pretty little growl won't work on me." I turned to look out the window so I wouldn't have to see him laughing at my weak attempt to make him let me go. We sat in silence for about five minutes before I spoke up.

"You are a huge jerk, and I don't care if you're my mate or whatever. You took me from my home, and apparently my sister has something so strong against you that she would shoot you. And let me tell you, my dad is going to freak and track you down. You'll be lucky if you live after this." I said.

"Well, let's just say that you and your family have a... history with me. I was lucky enough to escape with my life last time, so I'm hoping this isn't any different." The guy said as if it was the most normal thing in the world.

"What do you mean, 'history'?" I asked.

"Darling, that's a story for another time." Great! Now HE was keeping things from me. I can't believe I had WANTED a mate not even two hours ago. Maybe the best thing for me would be to fulfill my duties as Luna single-handedly. Especially if having a mate would mean being stuck with this jerk.

Maybe I should just deal with this now. Maybe distancing myself from him is the only way for him to see we really aren't meant for each other. "What's your name?" I asked innocently.

"Jonathan Watson. Don't bother telling me yours; I already know it." Wow. Creepy much? Oh, well. I'd gotten what I wanted.

"I, Alexis Johns, reject you, Jonathan Watson, as my mate." I was completely serious when I said this, but this guy- Jonathan- took it as a complete joke. He threw his head back and laughed. This made the car swerve a bit, which he quickly corrected. I glared at him with my lazer-stare. He looked back at me with a smile on his face that sent butterflies into my stomach. Well, butterflies is an understatement. It felt like somebody had set fire to a bunch of kangaroos and let them loose in my intestines.

"Now, now, Alex, you don't mean that. You may now, but trust me. You WILL fall for me." We came to a halt at the traffic light, and Jonathan stretched across the distance between me and him. "Now, I believe your sister interrupted something. Where did we leave off?" His head came closer to mine, and before I knew it, his lips were on mine. Those kangaroos in my stomach were now exploding, sending a deep shiver through my entire body. I wanted to lean into the kiss, I really did, but I had to remind myself who this was. Not my mate- I had rejected him. I leaned away and pointed at the stoplight, trying to sound bored as I said, "It's green, genius."

He stiffened at my light response, and nodded. He sat back in his chair and pressed the accelerator lightly.

A little voice inside of me laughed and I gave myself a mental high-five. I was pleased that I could manipulate this boy so easily.

Oh, Jonathan, this is going to be fun.
