I calmly loaded myself into a sleek black mustang car, trying to pretend that the scene in the bedroom hadn't happened. I kind of liked the times when Jonathan's tough guy exterior would melt away, and a guy who I actually wanted to call my mate would emerge.

"So where to, tough guy?" I smirked as I slid onto the cool leather seat.

"Well, I had something in mind." Jonathan said coolly while the engine roared to life.

"Oooh, a little mystery?" I chuckled, flashing a mischievous grin at my mate.

"Well, I don't know," Jonathan shot back. "Do you like mystery?"

"Just drive." I joked.

And that he did. The car zipped straight out of the garage, nearly giving me whiplash. Just yesterday, he had drug me kicking and screaming into this same car, and now here I sat, laughing at my captor's driving skills- or lack thereof. I was willingly going on a... date... with him.

I didn't know if I was falling in love with him, or if I was even supposed to fall in love with him. My sister nearly shot him... but he was my mate. Whatever my pack and his pack have against each other, I obviously had to choose between the two. My mate, or my pack.

But that was something to choose later. Right now there was no shame in enjoying myself, was there?

A few minutes later, the car pulled left to a dirt road that would only be visible if you knew it was there. The dusty path was shrouded with trees, all turning yellow and red a bit early this year. It made for a truly beautiful drive. I could only imagine what I looked like sitting there with my nose practically pressed onto the glass, trying to take in as much of the scenery as I could. Sunlight filtered weakly through the leaves, tinting the entire road a golden color.

Jonathan chuckled at me a bit, and asked, "You like?" I just nodded my head, knowing he'd be watching my every move.

Birds and other little forest creatures danced among the branches of the trees, adding another dimension of life to them. Wind chimes and birdhouses were hung in places, some rotting as if they'd been there for years,

A bit later, we arrived to another drastic change of scenery. This time, the road opened onto a field. It was at least five acres wide, with plush green grass covering every square inch of it. Flowers peppered the ground in every color, and the beautiful golden trees lined the edge of the clearing perfectly. I got out of the car, as did Jonathan. He went around to the trunk of the car, opened it, and nonchalantly pulled out a picnic basket and a red and white checkered blanket.

"Aww a picnic?" I cooed. "You really shouldn't have." I added a bit sarcastically.

Jonathan walked until he was just in front of me. His eyes bore into mine, filled with love and tenderness that belonged to me and only me.

"Nothing is ever too good for my perfect, amazing, beautiful mate." He sincerely uttered. I tried to find a trace of sarcasm in his voice, but upon finding none, I gave in and embraced my mate. He stiffened with surprise, but then wrapped the arm not carrying stuff around me warmly.

"Did you mean what you said?" I asked into his chest.

Jonathan pulled away from me slightly, leaving me a bit colder than I remembered being before. "What?" He cocked his head questioningly, looking like a little puppy.

"You know, last night in the woods... You said you loved me. Did you mean it?" I clarified.

"Oh," He said embarrassingly, "I guess you heard that..." He scratched the back of his head while a pink tint snuck it's way onto his cheeks. It was adorable! "Well, of course I do. You're my MATE. And that's not the only reason I love you... You're smart, and funny, and cute and... amazing. You're everything I've ever needed in my life..." He sheepishly stated.

My heart grew about ten times the size it normally is. He was just so... sincere. I've only known him for such a small amount of time, yet I felt like I knew him. He was everything I needed. Someone to support me when I'm weak, and believe in me when I can't believe in myself.

I brought my hands to his face, which was turned slightly away from me in embarrassment. I made him look me in the eyes, and when I did I saw a kind of longing in his expression.

"Jonathan," I laughed softly, "I think I might just be falling in love with you, too." Before he had time to register what I said, I closed the distance between us and pressed my lips against his. Little fireworks exploded violently in my head, making me shiver with want. Jonathan dropped the picnic and engulfed me in his perfect embrace. Heat rushed through my core, and I moved my hands from his face to his perfectly sculpted chest. His entire body and embrace and kiss felt so perfectly familiar... And so perfectly perfect.

Sparks erupted in my core, and I allowed Jonathan to deepen the kiss. We stood there like that for what seemed like forever, moving eachother's hands over our bodies rhythmically.

I finally pulled away lightly, breathing heavily. Jonathan bent his knees so he looked me in the eyes. The expression hovering directly in front of me could be described in only one way: love. He put his forehead up against mine, smiling a smile that was so sincere, and so heartbreakingly sexy.

"Alex Evans, I have most definitely fallen in love with you."
