This is a Merder Fanfiction. We are in Season 11 and Derek is NOT dead, he is in D.C. and Mer is still in Seattle. Alex and Jo are married and living in Vancouver. Cormac Hayes is the new peds attending and there are residents like Levi Schmitt, Taryn Helm, Casey Parker and Dahlia Qadri.

Mer's pov:

It's 5:00 a.m. and I'm awake. Usually derek lies next to me and were are talking before getting ready, but he's not here. He is in D.C.. I know the last few moths were not the easiest, but I miss him and I love him.

I sit up and look at the frame with the post it. I'm not proud that the glass is broken, but my heart is broken. No, it was broken. It is good that Der is in D.C., he need to find hisself.
I know that he hurt me but I get that. When I had depressions and was drowning he saved me.

I want to help him but I just can't. I want my Derek. my McDreamy, my husband, the man I felt in love, do love and married back.

Derek's pov:

It is 8 am in D.C., so it is 5 am in Seattle. I just arrived and already miss them. Zola, Bailey and her. Meredith.
I know I hurt her many times and I fell bad for the things I did to her. She said I need to find myself and thats what I am doing. Or I try to do.

I'm sitting in a taxi to get to my new hospital and looking for an apartment on my mobile phone, perfect apartment viewing at 8 pm.

I pay for the ride, get out and now stand in front of the hospital for my new job.
Boom. Ouch. "Sorry" said a woman with red hair and ran away. My head hurts from the collision. "I'm the nation's best neurosurgeon, my head can't hurt, you wanted this job so badly, just do it," I say to myself.

I got registered and got the keys to my new office and laboratory, I first look around because my first lesson takes place in the laboratory.

After a few minutes I hear a knock on the for, I say "in" and a red-haired woman comes in. She looks familiar to me, isn't she the one I ran into earlier. I would like to ask them their name, but other interns are coming in.

I start the first lesson and introduce myself, "Hi, my name is Doctor Shepherd and I will be managing the new program here. Unfortunately, we can't spend that much time together today because my working hours won't start until next week, but I was told that you wrote an essay on various subjects, please put it on the table and we'll see you next week.

All students hand in their essay and I wait to speak to the interesting woman. I wait and wait until I notice that nobody is in the laboratory anymore, she must have given the essay to someone else because it was embarrassing, I think to myself and have to smile.

It reminds me of Meredith's second day in the hospital when I introduced the case to Katie Bryce and asked her for help.
