Villa's pov
I was starting to walk away, with tears in my eyes, when suddenly I spun around on my heel.
"Say something that'll make me stay," I begged Rosie. His head shot up at hearing me speak again, and he looked right into my eyes.
"Annalise..." he said, and I waited for him to say something else. The way Rosie said my name, it made me feel like there's butterflies fluttering around in my stomach. He never calls me Annalise, except when we're going undercover, but I think I like it.
I realised that he had been silent for what felt like hours, and I started to feel a pit of fear forming inside of me. I was stupid to even think that there was a chance that Rosie felt the same way about me as I felt about him.
I shook my head slightly, and turned around to walk away again. But as I took the first step, I felt his hand grabbing my wrist gently.
"Annalise wait," he said, and I turned back around again. By now, he was right in front of me, so close that I could look right into his eyes. He took both of my hands in his and started to talk. "Annalise, I love you. And I know I should've told you sooner, but I was scared. I didn't want to ruin our friendship, because honestly, you're one of the most important people in my life. I can trust you, I can talk to you about anything. I'm always happiest when I'm with you. And I understand if you leave, I do. But just know that I will be missing you every single day and wishing that I'd told you how I felt sooner. I love you," Rosie said and I started to smile.
"I love you too. I have for a long time, but there was always something getting in our way. I don't want to wait anymore Rosie. I want to be with you. I'm staying," I said, and we closed the space between us, bringing our lips together into a kiss. When we pulled away, Rosie cupped my face with his hands and smiled.
Then, in a comfortable silence, we walked back down the pier, hand in hand, to his GTO.
As we were driving, I realised that I still had to talk to Adrian. Don't get me wrong, I really did like him, but I didn't love him. I love Rosie, and I want to be with him, not Adrian. It was going to be a hard conversation, but I knew it had to happen.
"Do you want me to drop you off at your place or do you want to stay the night at mine?" Rosie asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"As much as I would love to come over to yours, I think it's probably best if I just sleep at my own house until I've talked to Adrian," I said.
"Yeah that makes sense," Rosie said, and I was glad that he understood. All too soon, the journey was over, and we were pulling up outside my apartment.
As I was about to get out, I leant over to kiss Rosie.
"Good night Annalise," he said, smiling softly.
"Good night Rosie," I replied. I gave him one last kiss, and then I walked the few feet to the door of my apartment. As I opened the door, I turned around to wave to Rosie, and then headed inside.
The apartment was completely silent, my Mom was at Hornstock's place, and Adrian was at his place packing.
I made my way to my bedroom and got changed into an oversized T-shirt and shorts to sleep in. When I was sat in bed, I got my phone out and saw that I had a message.
Adrian
Hey, what you up to?

Annalise
Not much, you?

Adrian
Packing some more of my things ready for LA. I'm so glad you decided to come with me.

After reading that message, I sort of felt bad. But I knew that if I went to LA with Adrian, I wouldn't be happy. Adrian and I were together for quite a while, and he was a good person, which was going to make leaving him a whole lot harder.

Annalise
Adrian, I have something to tell you. Can you do lunch tomorrow? It's important.

Adrian
Yeah I can do lunch. Is it something bad?

Annalise
I've got to go, see you tomorrow. Meet me at that cafe we've been to a few times at 12.

Adrian
Annalise you didn't answer my question.

Annalise
Goodnight Adrian.

I was purposely avoiding his question, because I didn't want to tell him what was going on over the phone.
After I sent the last text to Adrian, I decided to text Rosie.

Annalise
Hey do you want to get breakfast in the morning?

Rosie
That would be great. I'll pick you up at 9?

Annalise
Yeah that works for me. See you in the morning.

Rosie
See you in the morning. Love you.

Annalise
Love you too.

I switched my phone off and put it on my bedside table, before switching off my light and laying down. Besides breakfast with Rosie and lunch with Adrian, I wasn't sure what I was going to do tomorrow. I usually spend most of my time working, but now I can't do that.
I'm going to miss my job, it was the only thing besides from Rosie that kept me sane. But there was no way I was going to shoot Marcos. He's my brother, I just couldn't do it.
