Villa's pov
I woke up to my Mom coming into the apartment. Like usual, she wasn't exactly trying to be quiet, in fact it was almost like she was trying to make as much noise as possible.
"Morning Annalise," she said, bursting into my room.
"Morning Mom," I said, my voice much less enthusiastic than hers.
"Why aren't your bags packed? I thought you were going to LA tomorrow?" She asked.
"Oh... about that... I'm not going," I told her.
"Why not?" She asked, confused
"I just decided not to. But don't tell anyone just yet, not even Hornstock," I said.
"Ahh come on mija, you know I can't keep secrets," she said, and I laughed.
"Yeah I know, but just try," I said.
I rolled over to check my phone and saw that it was 8:30.
"Oh my god, I need to get ready. He's gonna be here in half an hour, and I'm not even out of bed," I said, panicking.
"Calm down Annalise, what are you even talking about?" Mom asked, looking at me like I'm crazy.
"He's picking me up at 9 and I still need to wash, get dressed, do my hair and do my makeup," I said, rushing towards my closet.
Without giving her a chance to speak, I grabbed two outfits and shoved them at her.
"Which one should I wear to breakfast?" I asked. She looked at both outfits and eventually picked out a blue long-sleeves blouse and a pair of jeans. Not caring that she was watching me, I quickly got changed and then ran into the bathroom to do my hair. As I was brushing it, Mom followed me.
"Soo, who's breakfast with? Adrian?" She asked, and I shook my head.
"Rosie," I told her, and I saw her grinning.
"Ayyy you two are finally getting together," she said, dancing around my bathroom.
"I never said that Mom," I said, even though it was true.
"Yeahh, but you are aren't you? Because Rosie picks you up pretty much every morning and you don't usually care if you're still in your pjs and half asleep," she said and I rolled my eyes.
"Fine, last night he told me he loves me, and I told him that I love him too. But it's nothing official or anything yet, so you can't tell anyone. I still need to talk to Adrian as well," I said.
"Yess I told you this would happen eventually. And don't worry, that is one secret I can keep, I don't want to cause any arguments with Rosillaaaa," Mom said, dragging out the a. Then, the doorbell rang, and she went rushing out of the room.
"Mom, no! No, I'll get it. Mom!" I shouted after her. I ran into the hallway a fraction to late, and saw her greeting Rosie. When he saw me stood in the hallway, he smiled.
"Good morning, you ready to get going?" He asked, walking over. He'd probably guessed that my Mom already knew about us, so he didn't try to pretend like we were still just friends.
"Good morning to you too," I said, kissing him.
"Aww, look at you two lovebirds," my Mom said and I buried my head into Rosie's shoulder, embarrassed.
"Let's go," I said, hoping to get out of here as soon as possible. "Bye Mom."
"Bye Annalise, bye Rosie," she said as we walked towards the door.
"Bye Daisy," Rosie said, and then we walked out, and got into his yellow GTO.
"So where are we going?" I asked as Rosie started to drive.
"It's a surprise," he said.
"Awww come on, just tell me," I begged.
"No can do," he said and I laughed slightly.
Soon, we came to a stop.
"We're here," Rosie said, and I looked to see where we were.
We were at the spot where we had been at least twice before. The GTO was parked on the beach, and if I looked in front of me, I could see the sea lapping onto the sand.
"Rosie this is perfect," I whispered, and turned to kiss him.
"I have food too," he said, grabbing a basket that I hadn't noticed on the back seat.
"Well that just makes this even better then," I laughed. We got out and sat on the bonnet, eating the food that Rosie had made.
We must of been there about an hour before we decided it was getting a bit cold and decided to head back to his lab. I was going with him, because it's not like I have any work to do anymore.
"So I texted Adrian and I'm gonna tell him today. We're getting lunch at 12," I told Rosie.
"That's good. I hope he takes it well," he said and I nodded.
"Yeah me too," I agreed.
Soon we got to the lab and headed inside. Pippi, TMI and Michie were sat looking at something, and Donna was in her office, but they all came over when they heard us.
"Hey Villa, I heard you were going to LA. We're gonna miss you, it just won't be the same around here without you," Pippy said, hugging me.
"Well actually, I decided to stay," I told them.
"Wait really?" Pippy asked, and I nodded.
"What changed your mind?" TMI asked.
"Everything I know is here. Miami is my home. And even if I don't have my job anymore, the people here are worth staying for," I said, sneaking a glance at Rosie.
"Aww girl, you're not going soft on us are you?" Pippy teased me and I laughed.
"No way," I said.
For a while, we all hung out in the lab, talked and played games. They didn't have any cases to deal with so far today, so they weren't busy. Before I knew it, it was ten to twelve, and I was about to leave for my lunch with Adrian.
