Pippy's pov
When Villa and Rosie bought me outside saying they wanted to tell me something, I was pretty sure I already knew what it was.
They looked at each other and Rosie nodded at her, I'm assuming to let her know that she could tell me
"So, um, one of the real reasons I decided to stay in Miami rather than go to LA with Adrian, is because Rosie and I are sorta dating," Villa said.
"Yesss finally," I said, grinning. Ever since the two of them started working together, everyone had been waiting for them to get together, because we all knew it was going to happen eventually. "For real this time?" I said, making sure.
"Yes Pippy, for real," Rosie said as he put his arm around Villa.
"Aww you two are so cute," I said, clapping my hands excitedly. "And Villa, I told you that you were one of the women of rosewood," I whispered and she slapped my arm playfully.
"Hey, I wasn't when you said that," she said defensively and I faked putting my hands up in surrender.
Then, we all went back inside and sat around in the lab. Since Villa lost her badge, we hadn't been getting any cases, so it was quite quiet around here.
Villa's pov
We were all sat around Rosie's lab. Donna was in her office, Pippy, TMI and Michie were having an argument about some movie, and Rosie and I were sat in a corner talking.
"So, I was thinking, do you wanna go out for dinner tonight, my treat?" Rosie asked.
"Yeah! That would be nice," I said, smiling. Then, my phone started ringing. I looked at the Caller ID and saw that it was Slade, which confused me. Why would he be calling me?
"Uh... it's Slade, I'm just gonna go take this," I said and Rosie nodded. I stood up and walked outside, answering the phone.
"Is everything alright?" I asked when I picked up.
"Yeah, just calling to see how you are after that whole thing with Adrian. We have him in custody now," he said.
"I was kinda surprised at his reaction, but yeah, I'm fine thanks," I said.
"Uh, Villa, there's something else. I've just had a meeting with the chief, and I need to talk to you about something. I'm guessing you're with Rosie?" He said and I laughed.
"How did you know?" I asked.
"Well you two are always together. Anyway, I need to talk to you both, so is it okay if I stop by his lab in five?" Slade asked, and I started to walk back inside.
"Hold on a sec, let me check with him," I said, holding the phone to my shoulder.
"Hey Rosie, Slade says he needs to talk with us both about something, is it okay if he comes here in five?" I asked.
"Yeah sure, that's fine. What's it about?" He answered but I just shrugged and held the phone back to my ear.
"Yeah he said that's fine. See you soon," I said, hanging up the phone.
"No idea," I said, answering Rosie's question.
About five minutes later, Slade walked in. The three of us headed to a room that's away from the rest of the lab, and sat down. We looked at him, waiting to see what he had to say.
"So I just had a meeting with the chief. He agreed that considering what happened today, how well you dealt with the situation, and just how good a cop you are in general, that you should get your job back," Slade said.
"Really?" I said, excited. My job was the one thing, besides Rosie, that kept me sane in Miami, so I would be really glad if I got it back.
"Yes really, but there's one condition. I don't think you'll mind it though, because it won't really change much," Slade said, and I nodded at him to continue. "You'll need a partner. And we're suggesting that it should be Rosie, seeing as you two work all the cases together anyway. Obviously, Rosie, there's a few courses etc that you will have to take, but I heard you started studying for them a year or so ago anyway?" He said.
"Yeah, I never actually got around to doing them then, but I'll do them as soon as possible. Told you we'd be proper partners eventually," Rosie said, turning to me as he said the last part. As Slade said, Rosie and I are basically partners anyway, just not officially.
"So, if that's good with you Villa, you can start back next week, and Rosie can start with the online course as soon as possible," Slade said.
"Yeah, that's great," I said, trying not to smile too much.
"Oh, and I believe you'll be needing these again soon," Slade said, passing me my badge and gun. I took them gratefully, putting them back on my belt where they belong.
We both said goodbye and thank you to Slade, and then headed back inside the lab to tell everyone the news.
"So what was that about?" TMI asked, as her Pippy, Michie and Donna all gathered around.
"Well... I just got my job back!" I told them and they all cheered.
"Thats great Villa," Donna said.
"Yeah, congrats girl," Pippi added.
"There was one condition though," I said, smiling at Rosie.
"I'm going to be taking those courses that I was going to do last year, and Villa and I are officially going to be partners," Rosie said.
"You weren't already partners?" Michie said, confused, and we all laughed.
"Well, I mean, we might as well of been. But not officially though," I explained.
