I landed at the corner where we are supposed to meet. I checked my watch it's 7:28 AM (School starts at 8:00 AM). We agreed yesterday that we meet here at 7:30 AM and go together to school. I took a chocolate bar out of the inside pocket of my jacket, unwrapped it, and ate it. I like sweets a lot.

I thought a bit about yesterday. I couldn't help but smile a tiny bit. They were so nice and that pie that misses Toriel made was amazing. Despite lacking a real need to eat, when it's about that pie I'm in! So this is what it feels like to have friends...

I stopped at this thought. Friends? Can I already call them my friends? I guess so, that means they're my first friends ever. A nice thought. I finished my chocolate bar and threw the wrapping into a nearby trashcan, then I heard footsteps behind me and turned around.

"You are already here?" Chara asked surprised and I shrugged again. "Apparently." Frisk laughed. "Great to see you too. Yesterday was great, right?" I nodded, "Yeah, it was." I mumbled while looking to the side. "Anyway, we should go now," Chara said and we started walking down the street to the school. Usually, I just fly there but I guess I can make an exception.

"Maybe, we'll have actual lessons today and are not sitting around again," Frisk exclaimed, but Chara laughed. "I didn't mind it." " Me neither," I said as well. Chara raised an eyebrow. "You keep agreeing on everything I say. Stop that." She seemed a bit angry but I just shrugged again.

"Maybe we have just the same opinion?" She snored angrily. "That's a really cheap tactic to make me like you. You'll have to do a bit more to earn my-" She was about to cross the street while she talked, but didn't pay attention to the traffic.

I quickly got over to her and pulled her back so she doesn't get hit by the truck which now drove over the spot where Chara stood. "Hey, are you alright?" I asked while holding her, she lost her balance when I pulled her. She had a shocked expression and was a tone paler. "Yeah, shit that was close. Thanks." She stood stable again. "Oh my god!" Frisk ran over. I swear to whatever, I'm still not sure how to feel about this. "Chara you alright?" Frisk was also quite in shock.

"Yes, I'm fine. Thanks (Y/N)." Chara gave me a genuine smile. For a brief moment, I felt a little odd. "You're welcome. Just watch better next time." I also gave her a smile. After that, we went on to school and were silent for a while. During that, I thought about what just happened.

What was that odd feeling when she smiled at me? Or when I pulled her and she was in danger I felt how my wings had spread out, like they tend to do for a fight or danger. Luckily they're hidden otherwise I would've knocked out Frisk. I laughed at the imagination a bit.

"What's so funny?" Frisk asked me from my left. "Oh nothing, just thought of something." Then a thought came to me. "Hey, Chara what was that knife from yesterday?" I asked. "Oh, that?" A red knife appeared in her hand. "That's magic." I raised an eyebrow. "Interesting, can you tell me more?" The knife disappeared. "Not now. You can come with us after school." "Sounds great." And we had reached the schoolyard.

"Aren't you going to eat anything?" Frisk asked me when we sat down. "Nope, I'm not hungry." I lied instantly. "Ok, if you say so." Then we went silent...

Then when the bell rang and we went to the exit I saw in the corner of my eye how the guy from yesterday talked to another guy and pointed to me. He looked like a literal punk.

"You two go ahead, I think I have something to take care of." Frisk and Chara gave me a confused look but went on while I slowed down my pace. I knew the hallway was empty besides one person.
