"Uhh..." What is this shit? I tried to open my eyes, but couldn't. My whole body feels heavy and I also just generally don't want to move at all. Slowly I felt how sensation crawled back into my nerves so now I'm able to make out that I was laying on something soft with half my face, probably a pillow...
Right, I'm still in my bed. I managed to slowly open my eyes and regretted it instantly. It all seemed so bright and my view was so blurry that I could barely make out anything. After a time that felt like half an hour and I started how some actual feeling returned into my body again.
I was trying to get up, I felt how I pushed something off me. Like a heavy blanket and set up and immediately clung against my forehead with my right hand as a heavy headache occurred. I closed my eyes while recovering from it.
My whole body feels weird, not only the headache. I feel so numb, especially at the back where it felt specifically weird. Despite the sudden pain, my heartbeat was really calm and slow. Wait, since when can I feel my heartbeat so clearly?
I opened my eyes again to see that I could actually see something. I was in my room, sitting on the bed, curtains closed and on the chair sitting is... "(Y/N)?" I spoke quietly as it seemed to take a lot of energy to talk. He seemed to be sleeping and since I spoke so quietly I doubted that he'd actually wake up.
So it surprised me when he actually moved and started to wake up. "Huh?" He mumbled drowsily and opened his eyes. But as soon as he looked at me, and proceeded that I was there his eyes shot wide open and he jumped off the chair. "Chara!" He rushed to the side of the bed, slightly trembling on the way before he sat down.
His expression was constantly switching between surprise and pure happiness. His gaze wandered all around me but I was too numb to pay much attention to it. By now I regained feeling in most of my body, just my back feels off...
"How are you feeling?" He asked while he grabbed my hand gently. Feeling his warm hands on mine was making me feel a little better. "Honestly, don't know how to describe it. Something feels... better? But I'm also all numb and drained." I explained. Speaking worked better again as well.
"Yeah, I expected something like this. As your body had to really quickly adapt to the sudden change." Wait what does he-?
...
Wha-? My eyes also shot open as I realized.
"Did- did it work am I...?" He just smiled gently. "Look for yourself." His gaze indicated that I should look to my side. So I turned and my head and now that my vision wasn't as blurry anymore I realized...
That wasn't a blanket I pushed off me...

It kind of made me feel happy as I saw Chara's jaw drop and her surprised expression as she looked at the mess of black and crimson-red feathers on the bed that were her own wings...
