avril and the boys left, now it was me and damien. we were just sitting there, the fire was lit up too. we were drunk and still laughing over stupid shit. but then we got quiet for a while. i was just starring at the fire.

"do you ever wonder how life would be if you had people who supported you? i mean, the people who we're supposed to support you" damien whispered as he looked at the fire.

"yeah, yeah actually i do but what can we do" i said as i threw a pebble in the fire. "can you tell me your story?" he asked, "yeah, after mine you tell yours" i said with a little smile.

he nodded. "well, my father left me and my mom when i was little. so i grew up without a dad. and after my dad left, my mom slowly started to get worse over the years, drinking and smoking almost every day, she was just wasting her life away. she tried dating but that never worked out. she never really cared about me." i said, "but then i met a boy, and he was my only friend, literally my best friend, his name was jeff but i don't remember what happened after." i said, i was so confused.

"what do you mean you don't remember what happened after?" damien asked, he was confused as well. "all i remember was him trying to kill me" i said, suddenly more memories started to flood my head.

"what? are you actually serious?" damien said, his eyes were wide open. "yes.." i said, a tear rolled down my cheek. "i'm so sorry this happened, i'm sorry i asked i should've-" i cut him off, "no everything's okay don't worry" i said with a smile as i wiped my tear.

"i'm done telling mine, what about yours?" i said clearing my throat. "well, my mom was a drug addict, my dad mostly took care of me when i was a kid, up until the age of 11, that's when he left me and my mom. i took it hard because i wondered what i did wrong. i really wondered if i was good enough." he said as he took another sip of the beer.

"my mom got worse, and they took me away. so after that, things kept getting worse and worse with me. all the families i met were nice, but i kept fucking everything up because i was so mad at the world." he said as he threw the beer at a tree.

"but i've gotten better though, i'm happier, i changed in a good way, at least i think so" he said smiling at the ground. "yeah i believe you" i said as i smiled at him. "your aunt is the best, she's the one who really took her time, she was patient with me, she understood me" he said as a tear rolled down his cheek.

"aww don't cry" i said, i was also about to tear up, i wiped his tear. "at least we're okay now" i said, "yeah" he said nodding.

jeff's pov .
i've been walking around the woods for a while, trying to take my mind off of what happened earlier today. i saw a fire that was close by, "the fuck?" i said, why would anybody be here at these hours.

it's probably those stupid kids from oak high.
i walked towards the fire to see who was there,
my heart dropped. i saw (y/n) and some other guy. i gulped.

they starred at the fire for a little, but then looked at each other. i could see damien start to get closer to her and she just stood still.

my heart started to beat faster, the adrenaline filled my whole body. i looked down and saw a rock that was on the ground, i picked it up and threw it near them. she jumped up.

"erm.. i think we should start heading back home" she said as she stood up. "yeah, yeah we should" he said, they both started walking back and i wasn't too far from them. i followed exactly where they went. i needed to know where (y/n) was staying at.

couple more minutes passed and they were home. i had every step memorized.
