"GET BACK HERE THEIF!!" The palace gaurds yelle as the 11-year-old boy dashed up the stairs, unware of his destination. Up the stairs, down a grand corridor, around a corner, and slam a door. The boy heard the gaurds run past the room he entered and slumped against the door. A small whimper alerted him. His eyes danced around the room to see another boy shaking behind the drapes.
"Its ok, boy. I aint gonna hurt ya." He whispered carefully. The boy emerged a little farther. Aladdin was surprised to see he was dressed in royal garmets. 'This must be the future king and prince!' He thought.
"Its ok, your Highness. I will not harm the future king," Aladdin bowed politely. The boy crept towards Aladdin, curiouser and curiouser. The prince reached out his hand, ever so slowly.
"YOUR HIGHNESS. THERE IS A THEIR IN THE PALACE PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR!!!!!!!" Guards pounded on the door. Aladdin shot straight up, scaring the prince. He looked for an escaped, on;y see the balcony. He turned to the young prince, gripped his shoulders tightly.
"Please speak. It will give me some time to escape." He pleaded.
The prince opened his mouth. "What do I say?"
"Nothin. Lemme handle it now." Aladdin coughed a few times. "There is no one in this room. Please leave. I must study." He sounded exactl like the prince!
"But your Highness..."
"I said leave."
"Yes, your Highness. Pleasse be careful. We are stationing two guards outside your door." The footsteps marched off.
"Phew. That was close. Thanks kid y--"
"There is someone in there! Break down the door!" They began pounding on he door.
"Sorry kid," Aladdin spun the prince around and pulleda hidden dagged, holding it up to the prince's throat as the gaurds burst in. "If you let me go I will released the prince!" He yelled. The gaurds stopped short, and began to laugh.
"And what can a scrawny theif do against palace guards?"
Ali pressed the dagger harder againsft the squirming. Ali hissed in his ear. "Stop squirming. Or you'll seriously get hurt!" The prince stopped moving.
"Hakurai! Is you're shot clear."
"Yes sir!"
"Fire!"
A slver arrow whizzed toward the princes head. Aladdin swerved him to the arrow grazed his face. He yelled in pain. Aladdin dropped the prince and dashed to the balcony, turning one more time to see the prince, before jumping arcross the high wall and into the night.
The prince flew over to the balcony just in time to see a shadow run away. He felt a trickled of something warm run down his neck. Blood from the knife.
"Your Highness! Are you hurt? We shall get you to the healers right away!" The head guard Masume grabbed his arm, but the prince wrenched it away. He turned toward the gaurds with a very dangerous look, from a ten year old, and spoke in a warning tone.
"Do not touch me. I will be fine. Leave."
"But you-"
"Leave."
He turned back to the night sky. He had just had his first taste of freedom. And wanted more.
