For starters, I would like to say that I do not own death note or any of the characters within throughout this story unless I am to make up my own characters along the way, and of course I do not own you.

It was the first week at your new job as a waitress working at a fancy restaurant. Taking orders you didn't need the notepad sometimes due to your memory being flawless you could remember most things just by once going through them. You worked your 6 hour shift and went home.
Y/N POV: "I'm so glad to be off work it was a long day" I said with a sigh as my phone rang, I answered and it was light asking to hang out
"Hey Y/N want to come to the new coffee shop across the street with me? I heard they have really good cupcakes there." Light said
"cupcakes?! Send me the location I'll be there in five." I said with a smile, cupcakes are my favorite especially strawberry ones.
Light hung up and quickly sent the location to the coffee place I went upstairs to my room and changed out of my work clothes, I was wearing a black t-shirt with love written in small letters on the center, a big black belt tied around my waist and underneath a black plaid loose skirt with high knee socks and high top black boots. I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

Once you got there you already saw that light had a table for us. It was so crowded there, I mean it was a new place so it's nothing not to be expected. I sat down across from light, we were sitting at this cute little table on the side of the shop closest to the window.
"This is a cute place" light said with a small smile "I already ordered for the both of us so now we just have to wait for the lady to call my name so I can get it from the front"
"Great! Did you get-" I spoke light interrupted "yes I got two strawberry cupcakes and (your favorite drink)" Light said
"You know me so well light I'm glad I didn't have to remind you again." you giggle looking out the window
"ORDER FOR LIGHT" a lady said on the speaker "that's me I'll be back." Light said as he walked up to the front to get our drinks
I look towards light and I see guy staring at me he was sitting in a weird position, I brushed it off and looked back at the window until light had returned.
"Here you go my lady." Grinned light as he set our stuff down "My lady?" I questioned he looked at me and smiled "Just joking." We both awkwardly laughed.
"So have you heard about Kira yet? He's pretty crazy if you ask me." I said taking a bite of my cupcake
"Yeah it's weird to think he could be the cause of all those heart attacks going on and how he's only killing criminals." Light explained "what do you think of Kira Y/N?"
"I personally think he is very childish, yes he is killing off criminals and maybe they do deserve it but I have a feeling it's going to get a lot worst later on, I mean the government is already trying to figure out who he is and saying he's a murderer and to be honest it makes perfect sense because I feel like if people start to discover who he is he will lose himself and kill whoever decides to get into his way." I explain to light he looked fascinated with what I had told him. He was about to respond to my statement when suddenly his phone rang. He gave a small smiled and answered it.
"Hello, oh, oh, okay, yes I'll be there right away." Light sighed then hung up the phone "that's my mom calling she said sayu needs my help studying for her upcoming test. Can we hang out later?" He said with a sad face. "Yes of course I'll stay here for a while tell sayu I said hi." I said "will do." Light smiled as he walked out the door.
I went to the front and waited in line to order a few more cupcakes to take home, when I looked around the cafe and noticed that guy was still staring at me. I tried my best to ignore wondering why he kept staring at me. I got to the front of the line and ordered four strawberry cupcakes in a container so I can take them home.
"That will be 1049.56 yen" (𝑃𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑒𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑗𝑢𝑑𝑔𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑖𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑝𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑖𝑚𝑠𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑦𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑔𝑜𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑤𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑔𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 10 𝑑𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑟𝑠𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑𝑏𝑒𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑𝑠𝑜𝑦𝑒𝑎ℎ 10 𝑑𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎𝑟𝑠.) the lady said with a big smile. I gave her the money and made my way out of line but when I headed to the door I felt someone grab my arm, I turn around and it was that weird guy.
"Do you need something?" I asked looking confused at the boy. I could see him more clearly now. His hair was a mess and he looked like he never slept, he wore a white long sleeve shirt and blue jeans he looked homeless as if he was asking for a makeover asap.
"Could I talk to you, I would like to introduce myself." he explained and led me to the seats me and light were sitting originally. confused I said "What is this about?" I laughed nervously, why would this guy want to talk to me?
"You work at that one restaurant right?" (𝐶𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑𝑛'𝑡 𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑢𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑛𝑎𝑚𝑒 𝑠𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑒 𝑢𝑝 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑖𝑓 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑖 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑖𝑡 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑏𝑒 𝑎 𝑏𝑖𝑔 𝑑𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑦.) He asked "yes." I replied. He smiled at me, I was confused "are those your favorite?" He said pointing to the cupcakes. "Yes I love strawberry cupcakes I could eat them forever! What about you what is your favorite" I said I still had no clue who this guy was.
"Yes I love sweets especially strawberry I'm glad someone actually likes strawberry most people don't like the taste" he giggled while saying that. "Well I wouldn't mind sharing would you like one?" I said with a small smile "Are you sure?" He asked "Of course!" I replied handing him a cupcake. He smiled and ate it. "You know, you never gave me a name. Mine is Y/N." I said. "Oh right...my apologies, my name is Ryuzaki I came here because I saw you were talking to that boy, are you and him close?" He asked with his thumb pressed against his lip.
He was sort of cute in a way even if he did look homeless "Oh him, that's my best friend light, he had to go help his sister so I decided to stay and order some cupcakes for later." I said checking the time. "I really must be going now I need to get home pretty soon it was really nice meeting you though." I said while standing up about to walk away. He stood up too walking back to that old man he was with. "We were just leaving too, bye Y/N." he opened the door for me. I watched him as he walked to his car, to my surprise it was a very fancy car I thought if he looked like that how can he have that car but that's when I remembered I shouldn't judge him off of that, he was actually a really nice guy.
I got home and went to my room I started reading a book for school, rereading the same paragraph over all my mind kept thinking about Ryuzaki, I only met him once but why can't I get him out of my head? Maybe I was hoping I would get to see him again I mean no guy has ever approached me before like that so maybe it was just good to have a new experience. I thought about him for a while longer until I eventually forced myself to do my homework getting every last bit of work done. Exhausted from the work I had spent hours on I fell asleep hoping I'd be able to see Ryuzaki again.
